There was a time when Faberge were the biggest name in mens toileries. This was when mens grooming products were known as toiletries (horrible phrase) and Brut was the undisputed King of Them All. The King Of The Faberge range and is Lynx and for youth oriented grooming products is probably the market leader. There is a huge range of Lynx products now.

What the clever people at Faberge have done is to reinvent the product range at various intervals. There always seems to be a new fragrance every six months or so. The smells of these are all fairly similar but they each have attractive names which evoke wild pleasures or situations like Africa or Apollo.

The deodorant cans that I use have 150ml in them. I usually but them individually or in the sets with other products like the Shower Gel. At this time of year when the sales are on it?s a good time to look for sets that have been reduced.

The current range includes Africa which has a subtle fresh wood fragrance. I think it is actually the Old Cedar Wood you used to get years ago. It seems very very similar. There is also Gravity which is a bit sharper. I have not bought this one as I think it smells a bit like Domestos.

I have tried Apollo but found after an initial strong smell it soon seemed to evaporate to nothing. Its hard to describe its smell but it seems a bit sweet. Better than this is the new Phoenix range which seems similar to Africa but a bit stronger. This lasts a lot better than the others. With it being new I think they have gone for a longer lasting formula. Atlantic is an old favourite of mine as it has a really mixed smell of spices, a bit of woodiness and even a hint of lemon.

For Christmas I also got a Lynx set with a triple blade Razor and some after shave. This is pretty good too. I think with all Lynx products are well made and well packaged. As they are reasonably priced they make good gifts for giving as well as good value for buying.
