Advantages: Leaves the skin feeling Smooth and refreshed

Disadvantages: can cause irritation to sensitive Skin

I?m always on the look out for a new shower gel as I never seem to find that one that?s just right for me. At Christmas I was pleased to be given one of the new Lynx Shower Shakes. I?ve tried Lynx gels before, using the original Lynx shower gels on and off for the last couple of years. However it wasn?t until my first experience with Shower shakes that I found a brand to be loyal to.

So what is a Shower Shake and what makes it different to the regular Lynx Shower Gels? Well the main difference is that Shower Shakes contain moisturiser, which the normal Lynx Gels do not. The moisturiser and Shower Gel sit separately within the container and you have to shake it before you shower to mix the 2 elements. The clear bottle is easy to spot on the supermarket shelf as it comes in several different colours. Although I?m currently using the Blue one, I have seen an Orange and a Green One.

Opening the bottle up the aroma comes through straight away and it is fairly strong but pleasant. It has quite a fruity tang but is still quite masculine. Although the scent is quite sweet, it?s not overbearing and is rather refreshing. I especially like using this in the morning as it helps clear my head from those heavy nights on the Sambuca.

Having mixed the moisturiser and the gel its time to actually get into the shower and lather up. It only takes a few good hard shakes to get everything blended up. There is no danger of the bottle slipping out of my grasp as Lynx have added a grip on the side. The only downside I can see with the shake element of the product is for those odd tired mornings when I?ve forgotten to shake it. This just results in the two liquids coming out separately, but doesn?t really cause any major problems. I do like to have a good old shake
in the shower and find the only thing better to wake me up in the morning is to share one. Sadly, not always possible so I?ll have to content myself with fruity scents.

When I lather up with the Gel the scent is still fairly strong and refreshing. The shower gel creates a thick lather all over and stays nice and smooth while it?s applied. I can actually feel my skin getting smoother and more moisturised while still covering my body in the suds. When I can finally take my hands off myself I find the gel rinses away smoothly and doesn?t leave any scummy residue around the shower plughole.

On finishing my shower, and of course my shake, I like the results. The scent is still evident on my skin and lasts for several hours afterwards. My skin feels much nicer after my shower. It feels reasonably smooth and supple. The dry patches I get seem softer and smoother which leaves me feeling good. The softness last for most of the day so i don't feel any skin irritation during my busy day at work. A bottle normally lasts me a month and a half, which is plenty of time for adoring women to chase me down the street when they get a sniff.

So would I recommend Lynx Shower Shakes? Yes I?d say I would a nice energizing smell that invigorates and helps wake you up in the morning. The moisturiser left my skin feeling soft, which is good for my dry skin. If you have sensitive skin this may not be suitable as it may cause an allergic reaction due to the perfume content though. Lynx Shower Shakes are reasonably priced at £1.99 a bottle and are available from most Supermarkets. So if you want a shower gel that refreshes the skin and leaves you feeling good then I suggest you try this.
