Advantages: Will actually make you that little bit more attractive, and not by some intangible magic.
Disadvantages: Quite gooey. Not really a unisex shower gel.
You could be in danger of expecting a lot from the marketing campaigns that surround any launch of a new Lynx product. They seem to offer a lustful fantasy land that doesn't exist, with advert aimed at the kind of monosylabic, Jack the lad kind of male that doesn't exist in great numbers either.
But there is something about their products, something so completely unfathomable about their shower gels, that appear to actually...work...
For a few months after using this shower gel, and being greeted so warmly from the bathroom, I started to wonder whether there was really a tangible Lynx effect.
I had been bought a gift box of Lynx products for Christmas which included the Thai Massage Shower Gel and a black exfoliating scrubber. The deodrant had been left aside, as I already had an aftershave I was satified with, and the exfoliating scrubber has been stared at, considered, and then left on the bathroom shelf too. Every time I would finish a lengthy sing-a-long in the shower I would reemerge back into the living room and be asked if I had been using the exfoliator. No matter how much I protested that I didn't even know which way up it was, my girlfriend couldn't believe I had achieved such soft, nourished and smooth skin without it.
About a week ago it struck me. In the middle of Killing Me Softly I noticed that there seemed to be something sharp-feeling in the shower gel, and on looking closer I noticed hundreds of little bits inside. I carried on cleaning, but after being questioned again about my silky soft skin I mentioned these mystery pieces to my better half and was told that they were also for some kind of exfoliation. Apparantly, by sheer virtue of scratching along my skin they are removing dead and rough skin - which is allegedly not so handsome - and leaving me feeling quite kissable.
So, the mystery of Lynx is solved. Not just a company with products made for men by men, but with a subtle understanding of what women might actually want from us...
Summary: Won't make you a magnet to all women, will make you more attractive to your woman
