Since giving up smoking, I always keep an eye out for any toothpaste that claims it whitens your teeth. One of these products is Macleans toothpaste. Packaging This product comes in the usual cardboard box which is silver with the Macleans logo written on it. Inside, the toothpaste comes in a bog standard tube which again is silver is colour with red detail on it. The lid to the toothpaste screws on and off and is therefore very easy to use. Cost I buy this product from Tesco's and quite often it is on some sort of special offer which is usually buy 2 for £3.00 which works out at £1.50 per tube which I think is reasonable considering it is a brand ... I purchased 100ml of Macleans Whitening Toothpaste from Sainsbury's for £2.35 on a buy one get one free. You can buy this is a couple of different sizes but I went for the 100ml as it was the best value for money on the shelf at the time of purchase and I love to get my monies worth. The product is in a standard toothpaste tube with a screw cap at the end and is supplied inside a cardboard box (easily recycled). The toothpaste is advertised as providing "2x better whitening than an ordinary toothpaste" and it has "Enamel Protection." The toothpaste itself is a fairly thick paste which is white in appearance, very ... Read the complete review

I bought a few months ago when I spotted it on a Buy one get one free offer. It's normal price is around £2.40 for a 100ml tube, depending on where you buy it from. It comes in a usual style toothpaste tube where you have to squeeze the tube from the end to get the toothpaste out. It has a screw off lid which I find quite annoying and a bit of a faff to use, the flip top lids are much easier and more convenient to use, and I don't know why all toothpastes don't have that style of lid. The toothpaste is a white paste, no different to any regular toothpaste, though it's a bit smoother than some. It tastes nice, not too strong, but really fresh and ... Read the complete review

I am loving this at the moment, because I have started to see results from using this toothpaste. Special features: ************* This contains a unique triclene formula with whitening micro-particles. As well as helping to protect against plaque and decay it also has an enamel protection system. It whitens by breaking up, lifting away and preventing stains. Use: *** As with normal toothpaste, just regular twice a day brushing with a small amount on the toothbrush. The packaging does actually advise on continuously using this for at least 28 days before any effects take place. This also has quite a ... Read the complete review

Ok so I am not talking dazzling teeth here, but there certainly is a noticeable difference since I started using Macleans whitening toothpaste, about 6 months ago. This could also be due to the fact I have recently started using an electric toothbrush. The toothpaste comes in a metallic looking tube and tastes very strong and minty. The active ingredients are sodium fluoride and triclene (the ingredient to whiten your teeth). It is not recommended for use on children under the age of 7. The toothpaste claims to help restore natural whiteness, contain fluoride, help to strengthen teeth, help to fight decay, fights against tartar and freshen breath. ... Read the complete review
