Advantages: Smells beautiful and is moisturising and softening.

Disadvantages: None except to take care when leaving the bath.

Having been really delighted with the Marks and Spencer's paraben free moisturiser I have been using I decided to purchase some of the bath oil from the same range.

If you are unfamiliar with this lovely simple collection of products, they are made in Devon, and are free from any kind of synthetic chemicals at all.

You will find them in the toiletries and cosmetics area, in our store this is near to the lingerie. They are not heavily promoted, so you may have to scan the shelves for a couple of moments until you see their attractive summer green packaging.

The beauty bath and body oil comes in a bottle which holds 100mls and retails for £7.

It contains Monoi oil from Tahiti, which is something with quite a story surrounding it. Made in French Polynesia the oil is created from the merging of the delicate blossoms of the Tiare flower also known as Tahitian gardenia with pure coconut oil. So this is no ordinary oil it is very special indeed. There is also almond oil which is another beautiful fragrance.

The smell which perfumes the air when you add a few drops of this into the bath is really beautiful. Subtle yes, but intensely floral, and like you would expect from a spa.

I have what I call "my winter legs" at the moment, that is they have been cocooned in jeans for the best part of 6 months, and are ready to come out and face the elements, and so I have been using this oil to fragrance my bath and also to moisturise my skin afterwards. The results have been fantastic. The bath is a delight to be immersed in, with the lovely fresh fragrance and soothing nature of the oils, and by rubbing some into the skin afterwards the results are lovely, soft smooth skin free of irritations, and ready to face the new seasons.

The website says that you can also rub some into the ends of hair and leaving it overnight will deeply condition them. It does say if you try this you will need to shampoo and rinse thoroughly afterwards. I haven't tried this as my hair has been treated to some lovely Lush solid shampoo bars recently and is not in bad condition, but I would try this if I had split ends which were dry.

I am so impressed with this range of products which are certainly time and again proving to me that you don't need chemical cocktails to achieve good results.

The packaging looks so attractive with the cream and green, like a summer day with daisies and wild meadows, and the glass bottle is recyclable making this a very ethical product.

Only one small point, I would hesitate to buy this for anyone who is disabled as it can make the bath slippery as it is an oil. I wouldn't buy it for mum, for example, as she has had a major stroke. Children also would not be the target market for this, and I would take care to shower away all traces before the next bath user comes along as they could slip.

I am certainly keeping this by my side and will continue to use this as it is a fragrant bath and body oil which works beautifully. A good price too and in these economically challenged times a good one to try

Summary: A great product well worth trying.
