I had this M&S white peach and almond hand and body lotion as part of a birthday gift with several other toiletries last year. As it was a gift I don't know how much it was but I have looked online and it looks as though this particular one is not currently being sold by M&S but you can get it online with an average price of £1.30.
This hand cream comes in a 300ml bottle and it has a pump trigger which you press to release the lotion. It contains peach and almond extracts and it smells lovely, really fruity but also very fresh and clean. The cream is white and it feels quite light but it has a richness which you can feel when you rub it into your hands and body, however it doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all.
To use the lotion I will press the pump until I get a blob around the size of a ten pence piece and I will usually start with my legs and then move up to my arms and shoulders. I will repeat this once or twice more until I am happy that I have covered all the areas which need moisturising. Obviously as I am using my hands to apply the lotion they get the most coverage and I will just make sure that I rub some of the lotion onto the backs of my hands.
The lotion seems to absorbs quickly without too much rubbing and my skin feels soft and hydrated as soon as I have finished. I have never had any residue left on my hands or felt that I can't touch anything afterwards without leaving behind any remnants of cream and in the colder weather when I am wearing gloves I find I can put them on straight away.
This lotion is ideal to use daily to protect and moisturise your skin and I can definitely say that my skin feels very soft straight away and this feeling remains for a long time after using it. I have been using this lotion now for several months and still have about three quarters of the lotion left so it is going to last me a long time. This is a lovely everyday lotion and I do recommend it to others.
White peach and almond body lotion
Every so often I like to stock up on some of the Marks and Spencer especially because a lot of them, like this, cost only £1, and are generally good quality.
**What is it?...**
This is a hand and body lotion which apparently contains essential extracts of white peach and almond to leave skin soft and moisturised.
**Product and Packaging...**
The product is packaged in a 300ml plastic bottle with a pump action dispenser. The dispenser does, with one push down, dispense a good amount of the product and continues to do so until almost the end but I still have reservations about this method of getting to the product. They are great when the bottle is new and full but it often irritates me when I get close to the bottle, notice the tube doesn't reach the bottom and have to remove the lid and shake to get the product out.
The product itself is nice and creamy with a very definite smell of peaches, which I like, although I was surprised that there was no almond smell. Its advised that the lotion is applied liberally to the body or to the hands and massaged in. When I follow the instructions and do this, I find that the lotion is absorbed easily into my skin without leaving any greasy residue. I also used the body lotion after having been on holiday when my skin was much drier and found that unlike some body lotions, it didn't just "sit " on dry skin but rather was absorbed and left my skin feeling very soft and moisturised.
**Price and Availability...**
The product costs a very reasonable £1 for 300ml, which is great value.
It is available instore at Marks and Spencer stores and also online at www.marksandspencer.com
**What did I think of it?...**
I have had this bottle for a couple of months now and am almost at the bottom, which is why I am now taking off the pump shake out the last of the product- I don't like waste! It does however pump out the product until almost the end of the product's life.
I like the smell of the lotion which is quite strong but subtle and if used before applying perfume doesn't seem to clash too much; still probably better to use it completely independently and leave it for a few hours to let the peach smell go away.
The body lotion is easily absorbed, non greasy and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised.
