I remember the days when bathtime consisted of talking toys in the bath and playing in the bubbles. Well, in my house nothing changes even at the grand old age of 27! (28 next Sunday folks so get sending those B'day cards now). The toys are gone but there is nothing better than a good soak in the mass of bubbles!
So what do I use? Well, the same thing that has frothed my bath for years, Mr Matey.
I say Mr Matey because this is what he was when I first had him sitting on my bathroom shelf. It was a long tall conical blue bottle with a printed on face.
How he has changed as I will describe.

Bottle.

Wow! Its all new now. Matey has dropped the Mr Prefix and is now Shaped into the shape of a proper little sailor.Rather than a blue printed bottle, there is a shrink fit label covering the entire bottle with a picture of a ship mate sailor. The trademark White Hat bottle top remains and for a reason. It is hollow and is used (according to the insructions ) to measure out capfuls of bubble bath into your tub. It states to pour in 2-4 capfuls for a nice bath! Great idea including the measure as part of the design.
Because of its unusual shape, colour and motif, it really appeals to children. A good marketing ploy to get little Jimmy to pick it off the shelves in the supermarket!
It states on the bottle that the actual bottle are collectable. This is because you can buy
Sailor Matey,(a Sailor)
Mer Matey, (a Mermaid)
Lucky Matey, (a Parrot)
Doc-topus, (a Octopus matey with colour changing properties)
They also make a shampoo (Dolphin Matey), Handwash (Diver Matey) and General body wash (Squirty Starfish Funwash)

Matey, Mrs Matey and Soldier Matey Are long gone. The new gang are in town!!


Bubble-ability!

Most bubble baths are great when running the taps. 2 minutes later, the bubbles are gone. Not with matey. He lasts and lasts for ages. You are go
ing to get plenty of bubbles for your money that will stay for the duration of bathtime.

Smell/fragrance.
----------------
You never foget the smell of Matey do you? It claims to be fruity on the bottle but I always liken it to bubble gum. Its wonderful and makes you feel like you will smaell wonderful on your exit from the bath.

Irritability

No irritation whatsoever. It claims to be suitable for children over 1 year so dont put it in with small babies. It also states it is dermatologically tested and is kind to even the most sensitive of skin.Its mild and Gentle formula will leave you without rashes or itches!

Its about £2 a bottle. That is expensive for bubble bath but it is rather nice!
