Advantages: leave skin feeling soft, nice smell, only need to use small amounts
Disadvantages: if you don't like the smell of almond, this is not for you !
I got a lot of beauty products for Christmas. Lots of body butters and perfumes! Are people trying to tell me something? Anyway, I do buy a lot of body butters. I guess I've gone bit mad on them since I discovered them. One of my favourites out of the body butter bunch is Almond Pistachio & Milk Body Butter.
Almond Pistachio & Milk Body Butter is out of the Boots Mediterranean Range. They generally use Organic substances as well as normal substances in their products.
I got my body butter in a gift set but you can buy 200ml tub for £6 from Boots Online or Boots in the high street. Don't forget to get your points as well.
The creamy body butter comes in a very sturdy plastic tub with an easy to open screw lid. On the lid, it has a picture of some almonds. What it says the lid: Body Butter with nourishing ORGANIC almond oil, moisturising pistachio oil and skin softening milk extract.
Directions: Massage over body after shower or bath. DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED.
The body butter is an almond colour and is quite thick so there's no worry that it would spill out of the tub. It's not sticky or greasy. It feels very smooth to the touch. The smell that comes from the tub once you've opened it, well, it's good enough to eat, which bring me to another point. Please keep out of reach of children as one of my friend's children thought it was a nice creamy yoghurt. No clue why but she nearly had it in her mouth (I didn't know she was coming round so it was just left on the table). It does say on the back that it's not food and should not be in the reach of babies or small children. Back to the smell, it's a beautiful rich almond fragrance that has a hint of something else. That must be the pistachios.
So does this product do what it says on the tub?
Seeing this is one of my favourites now, yes. I've been using the product for about 3 weeks now. I've noticed that my skin looks very health now. It looks smooth, shinny and silky even my boyfriend has noticed the difference.
I tend to use the product when I feel my skin feels dry, not necessarily every time I have a bath or shower. I take some body butter just using my fingertips and start massaging it gently into my legs and arms. You don't need to use much of the butter, which makes it great value for money. The smell lasts for hours, which is why I would recommend using it at night as people have commented that I smell a bit like roasted almond when I've used it in the day time. Very yummy apparently lol. The body butter works similar to regular almond oil, it sinks well into the skin and leaves it feeling soft. Your hands and fingers don't feel sticky or greasy.
I would say that it works better than any other body butters I've tried (except for the Next Lime Cinnamon Ginger Body Butter, which I got at the same time)
I'd definitely recommend this to people who love almonds. This product is very similar to Body Shop Almond Body Butter but it's a lot better value seeing as it's half the price and the Boots one is actually better! If you don't like almonds, I'd recommend trying the other Body Butters in the Mediterranean range. There are 3 other ones. Bergamot Orange & Olive, Olive Wheatgerm & Honey and Grape Avocado & Lemon Body Butter.
But I would say that that the Almond leaves me with the softest skin out of the 4 (I told you I've gone bit mad on Body Butters!).
Summary: A lovely yummy body butter
