Some things in life I realise are good for me, but smell or taste disgusting, or are even painful to endure, and therefore require a bit of steely determination in their use; take tooth extraction, eyebrow plucking, drinking herbal tea, or swallowing dissolvable aspirin for example (urgh). Whenever my mother comes to visit she always brings me lots of toiletries and gift sets with her. No, she isn’t making an unsubtle hint about body odour, but is sharing her twice yearly bounty of gifts from her primary school class.
