For me this stuff is a minor miracle. I absolutely love it. It is the first anti-perspirant that I've tried (and I've tried many) that works. No more sweat!!

I've always had problems with finding an anti-perspirant that worked. I always wore vest tops, whether it was summer or winter, so that no one could see the sweat patches that would develop if I wore t-shirts. I used to be so embarassed by the sweat patches that appeared. I tried all sorts of brands, but none of them really kept me completely dry. Then one day my flatmate recommended Mitchum and it was a revelation. It's the only make I use now and I'd never go back to other brands. What a find!

THE PRICE:

I use the roll on, which I find very good. The price varies on where you buy it from but it is between £2.50 and £3. This may seem pricey but the bottle lasts ages. One bottle usually lasts me about 4 months and that is with everyday use, so it actually works out cheaper than some brands. I have seen it on special offer in Boots and Superdrug, which makes it even better value.

THE PACKAGING:

Mitchum comes in very distinctive green bottles. There is a lighter green for the women's and darker green for the men's. There are roll ons, sprays and sticks available.

AVAILABILITY:

Mitchum is readily available. I have bought it in Boots, Superdrug and Tesco. I've never seen it advertised on TV or in magazines so perhaps it isn't as well known as other brands, but it is there - look carefully! The green packaging should jump out at you!

VARIETIES:

Mitchum roll on for women comes in 4 varieties: Unperfumed, Powder Fresh, Shower Fresh and Active. I find the Unperfumed and the Powder Fresh a little musty smelling, but the Shower Fresh and Active smell much nicer. I wouldn't necessarily rely on Mitchum as a deoderant, ie I use a body spray with it.

DOES IT WORK?

An emphatic YES!! Mitchum claims to to keep you dry for 48 hours with no need to re-apply 'So effective you could skip a day'. I can't back up this claim as I re-apply every day after I shower. However I can say that it is the best anti-perspirant I've tried. It keeps me dry throughout the year and even stands up well when I've been in humid places. I can now wear long sleeved tops whenever I want and don't have to look like such a wally wearing vest tops in the middle of December!

It can leave white marks occaisionally but I find that they rub off easily and don't stain like some deoderants can.

VERDICT:

If you've ever experienced problems with sweat patches or those nasty underarm smells then give this a go. I love it and find that it really does live up to its claims. For the time it lasts it is good value. Try it, you might find it a minor miracle as well!
