Advantages: Powerful deodorant yet gentle in smell and apllication.

Disadvantages: Anti-persirant qualities could be better, mild white stains, plus cost

In my sweat fuelled life I have tried many deodorants, amongst them is the Mitchum 48 hour deodorant with it's trademark...'so effective you could skip a day'. Amongst this feature it also claims to minimise white clothing stains, and is also an anti-perspirant.

Applying is very quick, as it has a roller ball slightly larger than the average roll-on deodorant, plus it dries fairly quickly into a soft and partly powdery form, it does leave your skin fairly smooth. The scent is odourless, but it does have a similar fresh smell to talcon powder.

In terms of it's performance...

As a deodorant - It works very well, it is a strong product. I have never had any body odour that I was aware of after using it. Mitchum is by far the strongest deodorant I have used before.

As a '48 hour deodorant'! - I usually have showers everyday, but once in a while I will skip a day. On those occasions that I have and have also been using the Mitchum deodorant it has worked fairly well. I have not smelt at all, only once right before I went to bed on the second night I thought I had a tiny bit of an odour under my arm.

It's minimising of white stains claim - When I have worn black clothing I have had some white powdery marks left, but these do not stain and washed right off, so they are not permanent.

Anti-perspirant qualities - I still find myself sweating after use, I don't feel like it makes much difference, only a partial difference.

To sum up it is a decent deodorant... It is very strong and does live up to it's 48 hour claim, (in most cases). But although it is very strong, it is also not an overpoweing deodorant as it is odourless and gentle on skin. The only downsides are of course the lack of anti-perspirant control and leaving mild white stains. It is not the cheapest of deodorants, but at under £5 it is also not too expensive, and this is supported by the fact it contains 100ml, more than the average 60ml contained in most roll-ons... I would recommend this deodorant for anyone with sever bodily odour problems...(in the kindest way)

Summary: A strong deodorant lasting 48 hours most of the time, odourless, but bad cost and you still sweat.
