Advantages: doesn't sting
Disadvantages: takes ages to dry, no protection against odour
Oh when will I find a beauty/personal care product that actually does what it says on the label? Is it just me, am I cursed? I saw the 'new' Mitchum unperfumed roll-on in Asda yesterday, on offer, and decided to give it a try. It claims 3 things. Well, as Meatloaf says, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.....but 1 out of 3 is taking the mick! Here are the three 'benefits'advertised on the label.......and my experience of them 1. non-sting I have to agree, it was painless to apply, even on my sensitive skin and after shaving 2. Quick drying What a laugh! After 10 minutes of flapping round the house topless I still had dripping armpits! it finally dried to a sticky glue-like paste and promptly transferred itself to my blouse when I got dressed. 3. "48 hour protection". An even bigger laugh than the above. It claims to be so effective you could 'even miss a day'. Well within 2 hours of application I was praying no-one would visit my office..... in short I've had better performance from much cheaper products. In fact, this roll on is actually comparable to wearing NO antiperspirant at all. Happy stinking!

- 10/07/01 I've never tried this. It used to be very expensive, didn't it? If it doesn't work, I'll definitely steer clear. You have made your points very well! |
