Advantages: Rich and silky and keeps hands nice

Disadvantages: Quite expensive but worth it

Every December I have to organise a cocktail reception for my company and it is usually held at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London. Last December I noticed on my first visit to the loo that the liquid hand wash and liquid hand cream were both exquisite. The smell was absolutely gorgeous and I kept holding my hand to my nose to smell the beautiful fragrance.

On my second visit to the loo I had a good look at the bottles and noticed they were produced by Molton Brown. What can I say? Such a fantastic establishment as the Institute of Directors could provide nothing but the best for their clientele. Let me tell you that I immediately felt that I was being totally pampered by this grand institute and felt like a million dollars.

I had seen quite a lot of products by Molton Brown on QVC but I still thought they were quite expensive but did ogle them quite a lot!

A few weeks ago, on one of my many visits to Gunwharf Quays (see separate review) I saw, with instant delight I may add, that Molton Brown had opened up a beautiful outlet shop. Without further ado I asked if they had any liquid hand wash but, unfortunately, they did not. I was informed that this product is one of their bestsellers. However, last week I was highly delighted when I visited Gunwharf Quays to find that Molton Brown had a gift box which contained the liquid hand wash, liquid hand cream and a free room freshener.

The gift box came in two fragrances: O Thai Vert or O Naran Ji and I chose the latter.

Let me tell you that the smell of this Naran Ji hand wash is just simply divine. The 300ml container is see-through and the liquid is a nice warm orange colour. The dispenser unit has a piece of plastic underneath so that if you happened to carry it loose in your bag (well, people do strange things) then you wouldn?t find a spillage of liquid all over your bag! The container is quite plain but elegant looking and looks fantastic in my bathroom. It mak

es a statement ? not too fussy, does the job it is intended for and satisfies its customers. The pump action distributes the correct amount of liquid but, in my opinion, you need half that amount as a little goes a long way! The liquid feels soft and silky on your skin and quickly lathers around your hands but not in the way that soap does. You do not see lots of frothy bubbles at all. It is a different kind of lather, creamy and smooth. My visitors are categorically told that they only need the tiniest drop of liquid to wash their hands and I always prey that they don?t go wasting my little bit of elegant luxury.

These hand washes contain essential oils and natural cleansing ingredients and shouldn?t be classed as ?soap?.

Naran Ji is ideal for most people; it is mild, pH balanced and doesn?t froth too much at all and has natural bactericides. It has deodorising powers due to Sweet Florida Orange Oil and Grapefruit Seed Extract and it protects your skin from becoming dry and irritable.

O Thai Vert contains Thai Kaffir Lime leaves and has quite an Eastern fragrance, rather like citrus.

MOLTON BROWN? Who are they?
=============================
Molton Brown began life as a famous Mayfair studio in 1973 and their international clients wanted natural products. Basically, since this date they have been directing their product development to the needs of everyday modern living. Their new products capture the potent energy contained in plants, flowers and marine extracts so that a really long lasting benefit is derived by their customers.

Their emblem, The Lotus Flower, is essential to all their products. Why? Because it is likened to the 24 hour clock, opening with light and closing with the fading daylight. Molton Brown work 24 hours a day to create lifestyle products for all of us. Our wellbeing is their business.

Molton Brown has now become a great international brand and they have lots of emporia in th
e UK,
London department stores, Ireland department stores, France, USA and the Middle East.

Just look on the website to see if there is an outlet near you:

Now we come to the crunch.

How much did I pay for my gift set?

Well, it wasn?t cheap but was worth every penny.

It cost me £21 for the set but I reckon that the hand wash and hand cream will last me about 4-6 months if used wisely.

A replacement pump can be bought for £1.50.

As you may know ? I love my Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream and so I now use my C&E at night, just before going to bed so that my hands and feet have a deep penetration of hand cream and use the Molton Brown hand wash during the day so I have the best of both products.

I can highly recommend Molton Brown hand wash and on my next visit to their shop I will be trying some of their other products so, Dooyoo'erswatch out for more reviews on MB!
