Advantages: All sizes comply with airport security, all the products you need for a holiday

Disadvantages: Even though this is good value, it's a lot to spend

I adore Molton Brown and was delighted to receive this gift set for christmas - It's great because you get lots of small bits to try out.

This is a travel kit - designed to be able to take on board a plane in your habd luggage - although I haven't been able to resist testing some of the bits out at home already! The bottles inside this set meet the size regulations for taking on a flight, and come with a clear plastic bag for getting through security.

Along with the plastic bag you get a cream 'latte coloured' leather cosmetic bag.

There are 10 goodies inside the leather bag -

Haircare: shampoo - Moisture drench rosella hairwash 75ml
conditioner - Moisture drench rosella haircondition 75ml
hair mask - Reawakening mer-rouge hydramasque 50ml

Skincare routine: Cleanse - Skinfresh facial wash 50ml
Tone - Skin balance toning lotion 50ml
Moisturise - Skinboost 24hr moisture mist 10ml
Eyes - Eye-rescue ultracool 10ml
Lips - Vitamin lipsaver 7ml

Body: Heavenly gingerlilybath & shower 100ml
Heavenly gingerlily body cream 100ml


This is a nice combination - with a few different scents included. Gingerlily is my favourite Molton Brown scent so I am really pleased this was in here. For those of you who haven't use Molton Brown before - The smells are really beautiful and intense, and the products produce are luxurious and rich and produce great results. Molton Brown body moisturisers are the best I have ever used.

It's great to be able to get all these products in small sizes that you can fly with. The lip balm and moisture mist are also really useful in flight, and help your skin from drying out with all the air conditioning on board. When you get to your destination it's great to have such nice products with you - even really good hotels often don't supply everything you need - I find they often neglect to provide conditioner. Although these bottles are small, because Molton Brown is great quality you only need to use a small amount, so this would easily last you for a mini break or weeks holiday - and maybe even two weeks if you were careful and rationed out the shampoo and conditioner.

There is a smililar set also available for men with different scents, and shaving foam etc - it's called globe trekker - Porcini.

This set is currently selling for £77.30 in Molton Brown stores and on their website - Although this is expensive you can restock on most of the small sizes of the products - called stowaways - in stores, so you'll be able to use the lovely leather bag again and again.

I love Molton Brown products - and can't reccommend them enough. I can't wait to go on my next holiday (in April, yey!) and start using all these bits.

If I hadn't received this as a gift I probably wouldn't have bought such an expensive set for myself. I've prevoiusly used the Molton Brown travel sets which don't include the skincare items or the leather bag - and they are about £35-£40. On the other hand you are getting a lot more for the extra £30 you pay here, so I think it's good value overall, if you've got cash to splash.
