Advantages: Beautiful fragrance & silky smooth skin

Disadvantages: Far too expensive!

Due to having a partner who only uses Molton Brown (alright for some if you have the money) I will occasionly have a treat brought back for me, which is usually a travel/ sample size of something whether it's a body lotion or shower gel. One the usual monthly trip which he takes he very kindly bought me back a small bottle of the Intoxicating Davana Blossom Foaming Bath Oil. I adore having baths, especially after a long day at work and I couldn't wait to try this out.

*~*~* The Packaging *~*~*

Intoxicating Davana Blossom Foaming Bath Oil comes in the most beautiful sapphire/ magenta coloured bottle. Unlike a lot of Molton Brown's bath oils or shower gels the bottle is not clear. Its almost like a frosted bottle as the colour gives this effect. The Molton Brown logo is on the front in white in the usual font and underneath there is the product name and on the back is the usual blurb.

*~*~* The Item *~*~*

It's quite simple really! It's a bath oil! And I do mean oil and not foam as the main ingredients in this little beauty are oils and lots of them! To use just simply pure under warm running water and let the tropical yet sophisticated fragrance embrace you. You will get foam but more of a rich foam rather than big fluffy bubbles. You will immediately like the scent, fresh, floral and sexy, what more could a girl ask for?!!

The bath oil its self reminds you quite a bit of Johnsons Baby Oil, which has a thickish liquid consistency - if that makes sense! You really only need to use a little to create a good bath.

*~*~* Ingredients *~*~*

Indian davana essential oil - Used in aromas for its scent, which is as potent as it is lasting, for its woodsy effect in the base, and for its fruity notes remindful peach. It embodies in addition to applied in intellectual nourishment preparation, normally in sweets.

Indian davana blossom extract - skin soothing.

Grape seed oil - It appears to assist with skin repair, as it has mildly astringent and antiseptic qualities.

Black-seed oil - The oil is an excellent healer, and its areas of application range from external skin care (psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, joints & scalp massage) to internal use as a treatment for various complaints (asthma, arthritis, immune system).

*~*~* Weight & Price *~*~*

For the usual bottle of this bath oil it will cost you an eye watering £39.00 for just 300ml! I couldn't quite believe it when I saw its price tag. The travel size was on offer at about £5.00 which even then I wouldn't personally pay but as it was a gift I felt slightly better!

*~*~* What Molton Brown Say *~*~*

This unique foaming oil is a pure bathing indulgence. Infused with an intoxicating blend of Indian davana blossom, grape seed, raspberry, black seed and star flower oils, the richly creamy foam deep cleanses your skin.

Intoxicating davana blossom foaming bath oil leaves the body cocooned in silky softness.

*~*~* My Opinion *~*~*

I'm a huge fan of this bath oil, not only does it have beautiful fragrance but it leaves the skin silky smooth. However I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive skin (like me!) to use it in copious amounts as I think the skin would be irritated by it. However, for those with normal type skin, this is ideal! You will need to use a moisturiser though once out of the bath! I only had a small sized (sample) bottle and it lasted for quite a while so I could see the normal sized bottle lasting for a long long time, however the price is what would put me off, so stick on a Christmas or birthday list!

Summary: Wonderful but not worth the money!

I love Molton Brown, but I don't love it enough to pay that! I've noticed they seem to put grape seed oil in everything these days - seems it's the trendy ingredient of the moment!!
