Advantages: Nice smell, nice bottle
Disadvantages: None
If you are looking for top quality, well packaged and interestingly fragranced beauty products then Molton Brown is the store for you. Molton Brown first started out as a hair salon in Mayfair with all their retail products hand-mixed in the upstairs from nettles and chamomile. I think this is probably what has led them to using some interesting smell and ingredients in their products. Examples of these include davana blossom, celestial maracuja and inspiring wild indigo. Molton Brown supplies the little in-flight bags for British Airways business class and they do place their products in top-end stores, airlines and hotels around the world. I do like the look and the packaging of the Molton Brown products so we do have a lot of their liquid soaps around the house as decoration.
I am a fan of most of the Molton Brown range. Some of it is a bit too spicy for me and quite heavy but the Rose Granati is really a lovely smell, not too heavy and a bit different smelling than some of their more spicy fragrances. It is however classified as a warmly spiced hand lotion that allows you to immerse yourself in the mood of Marrakech.
A300ml bottle of the soothing hand lotion is £13.70 in the Molton Brown stores. You can also buy different products of the same smell, these include a hand wash and a candle.
Rose Granati is said to include Moroccan ros, granati pomegranate with blends of essential oils of ginger, black pepper and cardamom. To me is has quite a fragrant smell, almost like when you smell a rather strong smelling flower. It's strong but not overpowering and I think definitely more flowery than spicy in this instance. It doesn't really smell like a tradition rose product would either. I think this is probably all the other fragrances that are in there overtake the potential rose smell. The smell does stay on your skin for quite a long time after application which is good.
The lotion is said to hydrate and protect the skin. I find it easy to apply. It goes on well and soaks into the skin very easily and I do find after using it that my skin is nice and smooth. It says on their product information that it surrounds the hands with a shimmering aroma and I can see what they are saying because your hands do smell very fragrant afterwards. It also says that this lotion is good for your nails and cuticles too and will leave them feeling luxuriously pampered and deeply moisturised which is good to know.
The bottle that the hand lotion comes in is very handy. It has a pump action top which allows you to get to the lotion easily and is great if you want to put the bottle on your desk and reach for some throughout the day. The lotion itself is a very very light pink colour.
All in all a good product from Molton Brown that I definitely recommend
