Advantages: has aroma and colour therapeutic properties

Disadvantages: expensive , can get cheaper alternatives

I recently bought a pack of 5 travel bath and shower gels from the QVC channel after the presenters went on and on about how luxurious and wonderfully fragranced the bath products from Molton Brown were. I decided on this set so that I could test out 5 of their best-sellers. It also gives me a choice on what bath gel I would like to use every morning, making bathing more fun!

[NB: Oh, by the way, I'm going to write about all these five products not just on Vitamin AB and C. The reason why I chose to put my opinion under this category is because the Vitamin AB and C is my favourite out of these 5.]

Apparently, Molton Brown bathroom products are stocked in most 4-5 star hotels in UK and there’s even a Molton Brown spa in Heathrow Airport’s British Airlines’ First Class lounge. The set that I bought includes sensual, invigorating ginseng, warming eucalyptus, Vitamin AB and C and Seamoss. The clear packaging with silver cap is very minimalist chic and each is 100 ml. For a travel gel, it is considered quite a lot. I have been using the Vitamin AB and C in the shower for 2 weeks and it still isn’t finished. Because it’s concentrated, a little of it goes a long way. The smell of all the shower gels are quite light actually, with the Seamoss and Vitamin AB and C gels being my favourites. The Vitamin AB and C is very citrusy and smells of orange flower water while the Seamoss is very spa and marine-like. Apparently, the latter contains seaweed extracts which is known to tone the body. The invigorating ginseng smells like men’s cologne and the warming eucalyptus has a similar smell but with added mintyness (from the smell of the eucalyptus oil). So, they are not exactly my cup of tea seeing I’m a female. But, what I like most about this set is that the colours are so therapeutic. I put the 5 on my bath shelf and just looking at the array of clear colours of vermillion, gold, mint and turquoise brings so much c
alm and harmony into the body and it actually uplifts the spirit.

I would say that the charm of Molton Brown’s bath and shower gels are that they are packed with natural products like essential oils and plant extracts like ginseng. I am actually having mixed feelings about this product. On one hand, there’s the aroma and colour therapy that it offers, and on the other, it is not exactly better than the cheaper bath gels that I get from Boots or Body Shop. It’s not luxurious enough to justify the cost so, it’s definitely not a must-have in my books. I would probably buy this set again as a birthday or Christmas present.

I find that these are better than cheaper shower gels if you have very sensitive skin. Good opinion.
