Advantages: Refreshing yet warming
Disadvantages: Made for men!
As I have mentioned before my other half is a huge fan of Molton Brown - although his obsession has come to a grinding halt since he has moved offices to somewhere which doesn't have a Molton Brown shop! But in the meantime he is busy using up all the items he has got stocked in the bathroom cabinet. Unfortunately this is meaning that I too help use up whats left before buying anything else!
One of the shower gels lying around is the Eucalyptus Warming Shower Gel which was originally bought last winter in a bid to warm up after a long day at the office. However as soon as Spring came round, the shower gel was put in the cabinet and now finally in August it is seeing day light again or rather water!
*~*~* The Packaging *~*~*
The shower gel comes in the usual Molton Brown bottle with the shiny silver screw top and the Molton Brown logo right on the front of the bottle together with the item name and brief description. The bottle is made of plastic and I am pretty sure it is recycleable - but do not quote me on this! Because MB's bottles tend to be tall and slim they manage to fit in any bathroom cabinet with ease!
*~*~* The Item *~*~*
Well I feel pretty silly having to explain about a shower gel but here goes! You can also use it has a warming bath foam, now Molton Brown suggest that you use 25-30mls to get a bath full of rich, luxorious foam - but I don't expect you to measure that amount out, so I just use a little as I've found a little goes a long way.
It is also perfect for use in the shower and yet again Molton Brown have recommend amounts (5-10mls) but again I suggest that you just use your own judgement!
*~*~* Ingredients *~*~*
Australia Eucalyptus Leaf Oil - Externally, the antiseptic, slightly anesthetic, anti-bacterial, and warming properties of Eucalyptus make it a valuable resource treatment of burns, sores, ulcers, scrapes, boils, and wounds. Applied topically as an oil or ointment, it also helps relieve the pain of rheumatism, aching, pains, stiffness, and neuralgia. For outdoor enthusiasts, Eucalyptus rubbed into the skin seems to work well as an insect repellant, especially for mosquitoes and fleas. Rubbed into the chest, it relieves congestion and cough. Indeed, the Vick's VapoRub smell is a familiar one to most of us, and with good reason - it works!
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein - This is a product used a lot in cosmetics as it yields high moisturising qualities. It has wonderful hydration and antioxidant properties on both skin and hair. Creates a flexible, strengthening network on the surface of the skin. Delivers an instant tightening effect to replicate the elasticity and tone found in youthful, vitalised skin
*~*~* Weight & Price *~*~*
Now most of Molton Brown's body washes tend to be on the expensive side and I find that the more expensive they are the more ingredients they use such as oils. Now this body wash is rather simple in terms so it comes in at the cheaper end of Molton Brown. A 300ml bottle will cost £16.00 and yes this is certainly not cheap but it is in terms of MB's other products in the same range!!
*~*~* What Molton Brown Say *~*~*
The ultimate "pick me up", warming eucalyptus bath & shower therapy can really make your day when you are feeling under the weather.
The reviving shower gel and bath foam soothes aches, pains and chills, while the eucalyptus oil warms tired muscles, tones sluggish skin, is a natural antiseptic and works wonders at clearing a stuffy head and chest.
*~*~* My Opinion *~*~*
I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of this shower/ body wash purely because it has a masculine scent. It's one which although fragrant and perfectly pleasant it should not be used by women!
Yes I felt warmer and relaxed after use but to me this product is meant for men and therefore after my bath I had to use a heavily "floral" scent body lotion to smell pretty again! Unfortunately I saw no effects with my skin as to whether it was softer and smoother but because there weren't any specialist oils in it then I didn't expect much!
Overall it gives a pleasant bath/ shower for anyone but I would recommend that women stay away and men go crazy for this!
Summary: An ideal male shower gel!
