~I Love Love~
I Love Love is a fragrance from designer Moschino. It is described as being a 'colourful, joyful and mischievious blend of floral tones with hints of woods, fruits and marine tones'.
This fragrance collection includes an eau de toilette, shower gel, deodorant and body lotion allowing the wearer to layer the scent for longlasting results. The body lotion promises soft and hydrated skin and the scent of bulrush, lemon, redcurrant and tanaka wood.
This body lotion is presented in a white tube which is adorbed with blue and yellow decorations and completed by an orange, screw off lid. The tube is made from squeezy plastic for easy dispensing and can be recycled. This product has a 12 month shelf life. I find the packaging to look quite cheap and tacky but it is functional.
~Price and Availability~
This body lotion is available as a stand alone, 200ml tube but it is hard to find. You may be able to pick it up fairly cheap on eBay. The easiest way to experience this product is by purchasing the I Love Love gift set which is available in various formats from online vendors such as Amazon for around £27.00. I believe this is available in TJ Hughes.
I love to try out new body lotions and have a huge collection. I received this Moschino body lotion as part of a set last year and I am surprised at how difficult it is to get ahold of now. I find the body lotion to be perfect for warmer months due to the texture and the overall scent. It is the perfect day time scent and would suit any female in my opinion.
This body lotion isn't very thick at all - it is white and has a fairly thin, very lightweight consistency. I feel that I need to use quite a bit as a small blob doesn't travel very far. This lotion turns absorbs into my skin very quickly and does leave the surface smooth and free from residue. As you would expect, it isn't a rich moisturiser so doesn't provide a great deal hydration for those of us who have dry skin. Those with normal skin may see better results but having extra dry skin, I do not feel that it is moisturising enough. It is a gentle lotion though and I experienced no irritation in using it.
Scent wise, when I first apply this lotion, I witness a fairly strong alcohol aroma which is unusual as that is something I usually expect from cheap perfumes. This soon disappears and my skin is graced with a very pleasant fragrance which is simply a subtler version of the EDT. This body lotion offers a beautiful scent base for the EDT but is nice enough to wear alone and be noticeable. I Love Love is quite a vibrant, fresh scent with a mild, creamy undertone. I cannot say that any floral notes come through but the lemon and redcurrant are evident and blend together to offer a natural, sweet and citrussy aroma without the chemical, cleaning product tone.
I find the scent of I Love Love to be quite lightly refreshing and very feminine. I can detect the fruity notes on my skin for 2-3hours before the woody notes become more obvious and simply offer a warm drydown to the overall scent. The scent sits close to my skin and is almost gone after 4hours. Before I finished my bottle of the EDT, I used to use both products together and found that the scent was gone after 6 hours maximum. This isn't a long lasting product and this lotion is evidently, a much lesser quality than other designer branded lotions.
I do like the fragrance offered by this body lotion but it simply doesn't linger long enough or provide enough moisturising effects for me to consider sourcing out another tube when I have finished this one. I do not use this often as it is nothing overly special and I seem to use quite a lot each time so it doesn't last long at all. I would say if you come across it super cheap then buy it but don't expect too much from it as you will be disappointed.
