Advantages: Effective even though it might require two applications
Disadvantages: Will burn if you leave it on too long
I first used Nair Facial Brush on Sensitive a few years ago and found that it caused soreness and burning around the nose and mouth area. However, I read somewhere about the improvements that have been made on this product and so I decided to try it again.
This product is very easy to use and can be used for any area of the body as well as the face. All you have to do is to brush the paste on with the brush provided and rinse off after about 4 minutes. It does have a very pungent smell but it isn't as bad as the old Veet in a tube if you have ever used that.
Some people may experience irritation so it's wise to do a skin test before applying this product. Just put a little on the area you are going to treat and wash it off after a few minutes. If you get no reaction within 24 hours it's safe to use this.
Before use remove makeup and any other product you have on your face. Gently brush the cream on so that it covers the area you want to treat with a thick, even layer. Be careful not to rub it at all or it will cause burning.
Rinse off with warm water. I found that an old flannel was ideal for this as you can rinse your face and pat it to remove the cream with rubbing. Pat dry with a towel but whatever you do don't rub your skin with the towel as it is still very sensitive and the pores are open after the treatment and it will burn. Don't use soap to wash the cream off as there can be a reaction between the two and the soap may burn your skin.
I found this quite effective but I had to reapply it the next day as it hadn't resolved the problem completely. According to the instructions it isn't safe to leave this on more than five minutes although I found that it started to burn after four minutes. It all depends on your skin type.
I did find this easy to use and in spite of the fact that I had to reapply it, I would buy it again. The 50ml bottle I bought cost around £3 and I would estimate that I will get get at least ten applications from it. So, it's good value for money.
Summary: Worth buying if you need to treat facial hair at home.
