Advantages: Removes fine hair really well, relatively cheap, nice packaging

Disadvantages: Not great on thicker hair, stinks!

I had already tried the Raspberry fragrance of Nair Pretty hair removing cream and loved it, so I was looking forward to trying the Soft Peach fragrance from the same range.

Generally me and hair removal creams do not get on - I've had disastrous results in the past, but find that Nair is one brand that does work for me. I must admit, I only use these products for the hair on my arms which is quite fine - but I prefer my arms to be smooth, despite my boyfriend's insistence that they're supposed to have hair on them (bet he wouldn't say that if I suddenly had hairy legs!). Speaking of legs, I tend to wax or epilate them, so don't need to use this sort of product for doing my legs, but for the purposes of this review I did test the product on my legs - read further on for the results!

The cream comes in a white tube with orange screw top lid and features a cute cartoon picture on the front. It's quite a fun looking tube, and looks to be aimed towards younger girls.

Using this cream is very simple. You simply smooth a thick, even layer of the peach coloured cream over your skin in the places you want to remove hair (It is suitable for legs, bikini and underarms). You don't actually rub it in, just leave it on there.

Now one of the worst things about using a hair removal cream (for me anyway) is the smell. The majority of creams on the market have a disgusting chemical scent. With the Nair Pretty Raspberry I found that this smell was masked by a lovely raspberry scent, so of course I expected this to have a lovely peach fragrance. In fact the tube even states it to be 'deliciously fragranced'. I was very disappointed then, to find that this absolutely stinks! There is not even a hint of peach fragrance as far as I can tell, just that awful chemical scent which is so familiar with these sorts of products. Even worse, was that the longer I had this on my skin, the more it started to smell like cat food. Absolutely vile, I was glad when I had to rinse it off!

It states to leave it on five minutes before testing to see if the hair has come off. You can do this, simply by rubbing a bit of the cream away. To be honest, I find it very difficult to tell if it's come off or not so I just take it off after the five minutes which is always long enough. If the hair doesn't come away easily you can leave it on for up to 10 minutes, but no longer. I personally use a wet wash cloth to remove it as it just seems easier that way.

I find that this gets rid of the hair on my arms brilliantly, leaving them feeling beautifully soft and smooth. There is absolutely no hair left and strangely the re-growth time seems a lot slower than when shaving.

I mentioned earlier in the review that I had also tested this on my legs. As I was between waxing, I decided to try this on just a small patch on my leg. The hair on my legs is darker and thicker than on my arms, and in fairness this did seem to struggle to remove it. When I wiped it off after the five minutes were up, most of the hair came away, however I was left with a sort of stubble (attractive!) as if I had shaved - it was as though it hadn't dissolved the whole hair, which was disappointing.

A 150ml tube of this costs £4.40 from Superdrug. One tube gave me enough cream to do my arms twice.

Overall, this was alright -it was effective at removing the fine, blonde hair from my arms, but the smell was awful. If you have particularly dark or thick hair I don't think I would recommend this, and personally I'll be sticking to the raspberry fragrance from now on - at least that one doesn't smell like cat food!

Summary: Go for the raspberry instead!

I'm dark haired and it works fine on me, but I just can't stand the terrible stink....I had to stop using at as I don't want to talk around smelling like rotten eggs mixed with drains lol.
