      Very helpful

A firming body cream which softens the skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite

Another of my lovely presents (which I could have taking offence to!) was the Firming Body Cream by Neal's Yard Remedies. I am assuming that the gift was bought with regard to my constant moaning about my cellulite rather than the gift giver observing that my skin look wobbly!!

      What does the product do?
The product promises to refine and smooth out your silhouette. It claims that will reduce the appearance of dimpled skin, aka the dreaded cellulite, and leaves the skin looking and feeling firmer, smoother and toned. It is packed full of natural ingredients including Oat Kernel, Green Coffee, Marine Algae and Aloe Vera to help the product do its job. 79% of the users apparently claim that it visibly improves the texture of their skin.

How do you use the product?
The product is designed to be used on targeted areas as opposed to being an all over body cream. It should be applied to dry skin and massaged in using a circular motion until it has been fully absorbed. It should be applied to the problem areas such as thighs, hips and your bottom and I also use it on my upper arms and stomach.

      Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a plastic bottle which can stand on it's lid. The bottle is deep purple and pale purple/pink with the Neal's Yard Remedies logo on the front and some more information about the product on the back. It has a black flip top lid which is easy to open and close even when your hands are a bit greasy and slippery. The product doesn't come cheap and will cost you around £29 for a mere 150ml of the cream. It can be bought from large stores such as Boots and Debenhams, as well as from a range of online websites.

      Application and Performance
The cream is quite thick one so you don't need to use much of it with each application because it's rich and concentrated. It doesn't have a very nice aroma and it smells quite medicinal and bitter to me so it's not really a pampering product to use. It is easy to apply to the targeted and it glides easily onto the skin so there will be no pulling or dragging. The cream gets absorbed fairly quickly but it does take a bit of work. I think this is because the massaging action will do just as much work as the cream itself by breaking up the fatty deposits which cause the dimpled effects.

The cream us hydrated and it does leave the area where it is applied feeling soft and moisturised. The product needs to be used daily in order to achieve the desired results. I have used this for two weeks now and I must say that I think my cellulite is less obvious even though it is still there. My skin does seem a little firmer and a little more toned although I know all these results have just as much to do with the massaging! My skin looks more conditioned and healthier, and it feels much smoother to the touch. The cream hasn't caused me any discomfort or irritated my skin.

All in all, I do like this cream and it has improved the appearance of my skin, particularly on my upper thighs and bottom. It is easy and quick to use and leaves the skin as soft as a normal body cream would. It is too expensive for me to ever consider purchasing myself so I'll have to make this one last as long as I can. This is a good product but not an amazing one.
