      Lovely massage bath oil

I am sure that it is more than obvious by now that I love my bath time, my whole hour and a bit to myself where I can close the bathroom door, shut everyone out, turn the phone off and just lie in hot, soapy, bubbles and pamper myself. I love bath products whether they are bath bombs, salts, oils, creams, gels, soaks, scrubs, you name it, I love it and want to try it. I am also a big fan of Nelsons products and have written about them before in quite a few places, including my own blog, so when I heard they did a bath and massage balm, curiosity got the better of me and no sooner had it arrived, I had chucked some into my bath to put it to the test. The product itself you can find on the Nelsons website and purchase it from Boots, independent pharmacies and heath food stores, it is sold in a 200ml bottle and retails for £8.49. This product comes with the following statement: "Relax and unwind with our bath & massage balm, enriched with natural Arnica montana to soothe the skin. Massage into aching, stiff muscles or add to your bath to soak away tensions. Evening Primrose and rich Sweet Almond oil naturally hydrate the skin, whilst Lavender and Grapefruit essential oils help calm senses and relax the mind". I love the bottle that this product is housed in, it is made of clear plastic and it means you can see what is inside. As you can see from the photos below, the bath massage balm is a slightly yellowy colour and texture wise it is similar to baby oil. As the lid is removed there is the most wonderful aroma of Lavender with a hint of Grapefruit and together they make a wonderful combination. Directions for use are quite straightforward with this product, using the cap off the bottle, ensure there is a good few inches of water already in your bath this and any other product you might use will simply cling to the bottom of your bath, when what you want it to do is mix with the water and infuse with the steam vapour (a tip I learnt from the lovely ladies in my favourite Lush store). Then using the cap, pour two capfuls into the bath and let your bath continue to run until it reaches your required limit and temperature. As you get into the bath, there is no mistaking that this is can be used as a massage balm, unlike baby oil, if any of you use that in your bath, this product doesn't create an oil slick on the waters surface, but as your massage onto your skin you can see and notice that it is much thicker than normal bath products and because of that I wouldn't advise washing your hair in the same bath. It does help your to relax and unwind as you lie back and enjoy your self time as I refer to it. After bathing it is incredible how hydrated, soft and smooth your skin feels to the touch and there is a slight lingering of lavender on the skin. As mentioned above there are four main ingredients which are: --> Sunflower Oil which has a high Vitamin E content which is good for the skin --> Sweet Almond Oil which is easily absorbed into the skin to leave it feeling soft, smooth and moisturised --> Evening Primrose Oil which has great moisturising properties helping to hydrate the skin --> Lavender Oil - Known for its relaxation properties and for helping to de-stress the mind and aid sleep it soothes skin. --> On closer inspection there are one other ingredient which I felt were worthy of a mention and it is: Grapefruit Oil which like Lavender is known for its ability to de-stress the mind and it helps to clear congested oily skin. So adding all of that together, no wonder this is such a fantastic product. It is also Dermatologically tested and free from: ---> Parabens, ---> Lanolin, ---> Mineral oil, ---> SLSs and ---> PEGs. I am a huge fan of this bath massage gel, whether you use it in the bath or as a massage balm where it is as equally good for the skin, it is a lovely product.
