I have always been blessed with perfect skin. Throughout puberty I was very fortunate not to get spots ever!!! And that is God honest truth. Boy am I paying now! Even throughout my pregnancy with Zach, my skin was fantastic but since then, boy oh boy!! My friends say it serves me right when I used to tease them as teenagers. You could guarantee when we were due to go out for a disco or something, one or more of them would have a zit breakout! In the last couple of years I have been getting really bad spots on my forehead but especially on my shoulders and chest. I don?t mean little spots I mean great craters that glow bright purple!!! Although the oil levels in my skin seem to reach a high at certain times of the month, my skin is generally quite dry and sensitive so finding a product that did all the jobs required was quite hard! I was recommended to try Neutrogena. I have heard of their moisturisers so thought I would give them a go. They have a specific product for the body areas such as the chest, back and other areas. The Neutrogena Visible Clear Body Wash costs around £4.99 at Boots for 250ml which for some is quite expensive. I thought it was worth a try as summer was approaching and I didn?t want a spotty bod in vest tops!! The body wash comes in an orange bottle. There is little attractive about the packaging. You just have to trust the reputation of the company. The actual gel itself is orangey coloured too. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately there is no scent to the body wash. There is a slight medicinal and even tinny smell to the wash. I suppose the more coloured and fragranced the product, the harsher on the skin!?! The body wash does contains extracts of chamomile and aloe vera which are re-knowned for their kindness to the skin. They help to soften and
referesh the skin. The bottle, like most products states that if irritation occurs, you should discontinue use. As it seems more clinical than the average body wash, you tend to take more notice! On the first usage I did tend to use quite sparingly as I do have mildly sensitive skin. I did feel a slight tingling sensation and me being me did not discontinue use. I just continued to use sparingly! Although my skin felt a little hot after usage, I persisted and the heat did die down. After a few uses, I seemed to become accustomed and it did not cause any irritation. I used a little bit on a sponge and it seemed to go a lon way. The gel is quite runny too be careful when you pour it! Also, as the gel is not fragranced you are not left smelling chemically! You can always just use a bit of smelly body lotion or even just use a bit of a scented shower gel but I think this may defeat the object a little. After a couple of weeks the blemishes did begin to clear up. My skin was slightly dry but I used a good moisturizer and I had no problems. I do not use Neutrogena in every shower as I would suffer . For worser skins I can imagine it being very successful! Just listen to the warnings of your body! If it is uncomfortable to use, STOP!!! The product costing just under a fiver is ideal for me as a bottle lasts me months! The small amount I use well makes up for the price. As it specifically specifies for use on oily and spot prone skin, do not be tempted to use on your face if not needed! It may flake off!! Regular use of the Neutrogena Visible Clear Body Wash will control and reduce spots and blemishes. Use as often or as little as required to control your personal breakout. If your skin is not at all sensitive then this product will be perfect for you. But,
like I said listen to your body! Thank you reading and hope this was useful to you! Kerry xx
