“ Brand: Neutrogena / Type: Body Lotion / Subcategory: Moisturiser / Skin type: for dry skin / What it does: Smoothes, Moisturizes, „
I have suffered from dry skin on my legs for quite some time now and everything just seemed to make them worse. Every lotion I tried made them itchy at night or rashy. Then I tried the Neutrogena lotion and I have never liked one more than this. It is thick and creamy and even though it is more difficult to rub in, it makes you takes more time on it to ensure that you do it properly. It also makes you spend time on yourself, a thing which a lot of people don't do nowadays.
After the first use my skin was softer and smoother and because it was so good, I only needed to apply it every second day, which meant I used less and ultimately means I won't spend as much on body lotion. The fragrance was light and the lotion didn't irritate my skin. I would definitely buy this product again.
The Neutrogena Instant Moisture Supply Body lotion helps in soothing away dry and cracked skin. I have feet that start to feel dry within few hours if I do not apply a moisturiser. I use this lotion almost every night on my dry heels that are prone to get cracked especially in winters.
This is a very good lotion for problem skin types. If you have patchy skin or problems like eczema. This lotion is a sure help.
The bottle is very easy to use with a pump that dispenses the liguid. It's a white soft and thin liquid that gets absorbed byt the skin after you massage for a few minutes. It is important to work it over your problem area for a few minutes so every trace of the lotion gets seeped into the skin and do it's job.
Just leave it on overnight/ 12 hours and forget to moisturise your skin for the rest of the day. You will however have to be regular in the use if you want to treat very dry skin or the problem area.
I bought a 300 ml bottle for 4.50 pounts at the Boots store.
I have extremely dry skin because of my ezcema, and the only moisturiser that has ever really worked for me is Neutrogena Body Emulsion! However, they recently discontinued this product, so I began using this very similar product. Neutrogena Instant Moisture Supply comes in a white, slightly clinical looking, square bottle with a pump action dispenser, which is actually more hygenic as you aren't dipping your bacteria-covered fingers in and out of it! It costs £4.49 for 300ml, which I think is very reasonable for how good it is! It promises to 'immediately soothe, soften and help prevent future moisture loss'. It works for up to twelve hours, reduces roughness and dries quickly and effectively - apparently. Sounds good, eh? The cream itself is light, white in colour, and easily absorbed into the skin. A little goes a long way! It's good for when you are feeling hot and bothered, because it's quite cooling on the skin. It smells slightly chemical, but it isn't that noticable, so shouldn't be a problem. There was no greasy afterfeel or anything like that. My skin felt smooth, silky and soft, with no dry, itchy patches like I normally have. Because of my ezcema, a lot of products can irritate my skin, but this only hydrated my skin and soothed the ezcema flare-ups I get on my elbows and back of knees. This makes a great intensive moisturiser at night too - I just slather loads onto my face before I go to sleep, and wake up with silky soft skin! I wouldn't recommend it for the daytime on the face though, as it doesn't contain sunscreen. Strangely enough, it's great for spots as well! I dab some on over a spot, and by the next day, the redness will have gone down. I'd definitely recommend this, especially for people with ezcema or other skin problems. It does contain glycerine, however, which I believe is animal-based. It is made by Neutrogena, a division of Johnson
and Johnson. It's available from Superdrug, Boots, etc, for around £4.49.
I'm the sort of person who likes to slather body moisturiser all over after a shower. But usually if I haven't got time, I don't bother because most products take so long to properly sink in that by the time I've waited to get dressed, I'm already late. This product, quite literally has changed my routine because it is so easily absorbed. It is extremely light and effective, although it doesn't really smell of anything. But this isn't meant to be a luxury product, it is merely meant to be functional and that's what it is. Plus, it comes packaged in a very handy pump dispenser, which gives the perfect amount of moisturiser for each part of my body. This is also good for when you're in a rush as the amount of times I have been slightly over-enthusiastic with tubes usually end up in a minor crisis. Finally, this product gives skin a great boost of moisture without feeling sticky or greasy. And it lasts for about a day or so. This is the sort of product that no-one should be without, young or old, male or female. And, you can obtain it from larger 'Boots' or 'Superdrug', I don't know if it is animal or environmentally friendly or not. And the approximate cost is 3 or 4 pounds.
For normal to everyday dry skin, leaves skin soft and smooth
