Advantages: Absorbs easily, hydrates skin

Disadvantages: None

I have extremely dry skin because of my ezcema, and the only moisturiser that has ever really worked for me is Neutrogena Body Emulsion! However, they recently discontinued this product, so I began using this very similar product.

Neutrogena Instant Moisture Supply comes in a white, slightly clinical looking, square bottle with a pump action dispenser, which is actually more hygenic as you aren't dipping your bacteria-covered fingers in and out of it! It costs £4.49 for 300ml, which I think is very reasonable for how good it is!

It promises to 'immediately soothe, soften and help prevent future moisture loss'. It works for up to twelve hours, reduces roughness and dries quickly and effectively - apparently. Sounds good, eh?

The cream itself is light, white in colour, and easily absorbed into the skin. A little goes a long way! It's good for when you are feeling hot and bothered, because it's quite cooling on the skin. It smells slightly chemical, but it isn't that noticable, so shouldn't be a problem. There was no greasy afterfeel or anything like that.

My skin felt smooth, silky and soft, with no dry, itchy patches like I normally have. Because of my ezcema, a lot of products can irritate my skin, but this only hydrated my skin and soothed the ezcema flare-ups I get on my elbows and back of knees.

This makes a great intensive moisturiser at night too - I just slather loads onto my face before I go to sleep, and wake up with silky soft skin! I wouldn't recommend it for the daytime on the face though, as it doesn't contain sunscreen. Strangely enough, it's great for spots as well! I dab some on over a spot, and by the next day, the redness will have gone down.

I'd definitely recommend this, especially for people with ezcema or other skin problems. It does contain glycerine, however, which I believe is animal-based.

It is made by Neutrogena, a division of Johnson
and Johnson. It's available from Superdrug, Boots, etc, for around £4.49.
