Advantages: smells great, moisturises, cleanses, softens
Disadvantages: bottle doesnt have a shower hook
As you all know I love my beauty products, especially shower gels or shower creams. Whenever I go shopping I'm always on the look out for a new beauty product which I haven't tried before. Out of all the different shower gels I have tried in the past the Radox shower gels are a firm favourite of mines because they are reasonably priced and they all smell nice. A few weeks ago whilst shopping in Tesco's I noticed that they had a special offer on Nivea Shower creams and gels. I really live most of the Nivea products which are on the market, but the Shower Gel was one of the Nivea products which I hadn't tried before. Normally a 250ml bottle of Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Gel costs in the region of £1.50-£2 depending on where you purchase it from; but since Tesco had their Nivea Shower Gels and Creams on Special offer I only paid £0.99 for my bottle of it
As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of Nivea Cashmere Moments Shower Gel is supplied in a white plastic bottle, which has a light blue coloured flip top lid. The packaging design is rather plain and simple and doesn't have much details or design on it, basically the packaging just carries the Nivea logo on the front of it and states that the product is in-fact named Cashmere Moments and that it is a Shower Gel which has an Orchid Blossom fragrance and contains Cashmere Extract. On the back of the bottle we have all the usual usage directions, ingredients list, small blurb about the product and contact details and helpline numbers. Usually when I'm buying body washes/shower gels I like to buy the ones which are sold transparent bottles because I can see how much I am using and how much is left in the bottle; but I will make an exception for this one because I like it
The Shower Gel is easily dispensed from the bottle by gently squeezing it until you have the desired amount. When I dispensed the Shower Gel from the bottle I was immediately impressed by the consistency of it because it was really nice thick gel like substance. The colour of the shower gel was also really nice, it was a lovely golden coloured gel which also had a pearlescent appearance as well. Most of the time when I purchase Shower Gels I am sometimes really disappointed by the consistency of them because some of them are either too thin and runny, don't smell nice, or don't leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised when they claim that they do. But in this instance I was impressed with everything about the Cashmere Moments Shower Gel and the condition it left my skin in.
The thick consistency of the shower gel meant that I didn't have to use a lot of it in order to get fully washed with. I found that a blob the size of a 50 pence piece on a sponge was a sufficient enough amount to get fully washed with. The shower gel produced a really thick, bubbly creamy lather which felt as if it was also moisturising and softening my skin as well as cleansing it. After I got fully washed and dried I noticed that my skin felt a lot smoother and softer than it did before I used the shower gel, and it was also highly fragranced. .I noticed a huge improvement in the softness of my skin the first time I used Nivea Cashmere Moments, my skin felt so soft after I had used it that I didn't feel the need to use a moisturiser because the shower gel seemed to moisturise my skin enough when I used it.
One of the main reasons the Cashmere shower Gel left my skin feeling highly moisturised and soft is because it contains cashmere extracts which help to soften your skin. The shower gel is also PH balanced so it wont dry out or irritate your skin. The shower gel is also Skin tolerance dermatologically approved as well.
The fragrance which the shower gel left on my skin was gorgeous and quite long lasting, I would say that the fragrance lingered on my skin for approximately 4 hours or so before it gradually faded away. The scent from the shower gel also fragranced the bathroom somewhat and the aroma lingered in the air for approximately 30 minutes or so. The shower gel has quite a strong sweet, slightly floral, musky aroma when you dispense it from the bottle; but when you are rubbing it into your skin it doesn't seem to smell as strong. I think that the scent from the shower gel is gorgeous and really feminine. It has a somewhat sweet musky aroma which is complimented by a gorgeous, fresh, crisp slightly exotic Orchid aroma. The floral scent from the Orchid isn't overpowering or cloying at all, it has a really delicate fragrance. I think that the shower gel smells really sophisticated and expensive, and it is certainly a really feminine scent which I'm sure none of the males would like. The aroma which the shower gel leaves on your skin wont overpower or mask any deodorants or perfumes you are wearing.
I like to use Cashmere Moments Shower Gel with my exfoliating gloves because it produces a really thick lather and the exfoliating gloves don't feel as harsh on my skin. I really love this shower gel because it smells gorgeous, the fragrance lingers on my skin, it moisturises and softens as well. This is a shower gel which I will continue to purchase and use on a regular basis. If you haven't tried this shower gel before I highly recommend that you so as you wont be disappointed by the results and the scent from it. Nivea Cashmere moments Shower Gel can be bought from Tesco, ASDA, Morrison's, Semi-Chem, Superdrug and Savers as well as some other chemists and smaller retail outlets although the price may differ depending on where you purchase it from. A 250ml bottle of the shower gel costs in the region of £1.50-£2; although you may be able to get it cheaper if it is on special offer.
