Advantages: smells pleasant and actually works

Disadvantages: none

Normally I would not buy this product and would stick to my usual brand, however, working in a large office building we sometimes receive free samples (not the company I work for but for everyone in the building) and a few weeks ago it was Nivea deodorant.
The size I have is 35ml which is a sample size but great for just popping into your handbag or keeping in your desk at work, gents there was a sample for you but I don't have one of these unfortunately and I am sure you all don't have handbags.

The deodorant spray I have is in a white canister with the Nivea logo in the familiar navy blue and it is fresh and natural as the fragrance. The canister advises me that this offers 24hr protection and it is an anti-perspirant rather than a deodorant as your are led to believe initially. Personally I would much prefer that companies made this clear as we all know deodorant hides the smell and anti-perspirant stops you from perspiring and this may affect your choice of product.
The canister has a pull off lid and this is easy to do, no too easy so that you would loose it as it has a very slight indentation where the base of the lid sits on top of the canister to keep it in place and it slides off very smoothly. There is nothing unusual about the spray mechanism either not twisting required, no release / lock switch to flick over just your ordinary press and spray, again this is very easy to operate. The mans version was the same apart from the canister was navy blue.

Ok, what does it smell like, well Nivea, this reminds me of the Nivea hand cream that my mum always used to use and the fragrance can easily be identified as a Nivea product as I have always found their products unique in smell. It is a creamy fresh smell that does last for a good few hours and you will certainly catch a waft of this each time you move around which is reassuring as I am confident that this is still working.
White marks - none so far which is good as if you have on that little black dress there is nothing worse than having those tell tale patches under your arms and you feel you have to keep your arms down by your sides which for me is not a natural thing to do as I am a very visual person and wave my hands and arms around when talking.

Does it last 24hr, well not checked for certain but definitely lasts all day and has stood up to running for the bus and power walking without having to be reapplied with no problems with perspiration or nasty odours.
Irritation - none though my skin is not that sensitive but checking on the canister this does advise that this is gentle care though if you have not used this before to do a patch test even if you don't have sensitive skin as painful armpits that have reacted badly is not something any of us want.

Would I buy this again, yes I would, I have found the fragrance pleasant and long lasting. For more information go to www.nivea.co.uk where you will find that often there are free samples available for a variety of Nivea products if you are interested.

Summary: You can always rely on Nivea.
