I suffer from dry skin on my hands, which is exacerbated by cold weather and harsh hand-washes. It's unpleasant to have rough, cracked hands - it feels very sore, looks dreadful, and means that it's less easy to have hygienically clean hands (microbes can hide in the cracks and rough skin, apparently). Someone recommended a Tesco's own Q10 hand cream to me. I don't have a Tesco locally, so when I noticed a Nivea Q10 product for sale in Sainsburys priced at £3.19, I thought I'd try it. I needed a new hand cream, and although I'm not sure I need the anti-aging properties yet, I thought it couldn't do any harm. The packaging is the usual tube-type container, ... I was waiting for a bus opposite Tesco and my hands were feeling uncomfortably dry and chapped, I was also thirsty and needed a drink, so I quickly went into the supermarket and grabbed a bottle of water and a random tube of hand lotion. I chose the Nivea Hand Age Defying Q10Plus lotion just because I liked the colour of the tube really. It is a pearly pale gold with gold and silver metallic accents and a dark blue flip-top cap that's coloured to match the blue Nivea logo. The cap shuts firmly so I didn't have to worry that it would spill inside my bag. The writing on the tube says the lotion now has double Q10 strength, and it 'smoothes hands and ... I first started suffering with dry hands when my daughter was a baby and I was spending a lot of time with my hands in soapy water cleaning her bottles and other feeding paraphernalia and I tried all different types of hand creams and moisturisers some were really good but too expensive so I started looking out for what was on offer in my local home and bargain store which is when I first tried Nivea hand age defying Q10 plus, I think I paid about £2.99 for the tube and I have seen it in Tesco recently for £4.16. THE PRODUCT - The cream comes in a squeezy type tube with a blue flip top lid. The claims on the front of the tube are that it 'smoothes hands and ... Read the complete review

Having now reached the "tender" age of 40 I have found myself reaching more and more for the pro-age, age-defying ranges in beauty products. Not that I particularly feel I show any signs of wrinkles or lines yet, but I do feel the need to try and prevent them more! I have very dry skin all over with my fingertips actually feeling like sandpaper most of the time. There are not many products I have found that have managed combat the dry skin on my hands, of course I don't help myself either by not using rubber gloves at all whilst washing dishes, cleaning with bleach etc. I really hate rubber gloves! Whilst wasting time and money browsing around ... Read the complete review

Due to poor circulation to the extremities (mainly hands), I can suffer from dry hands occassionally. As a result my hands are always red and when dry this is not a good look. So I regularly carry around a mini-size version of some hand-cream. If you didn't know, Superdrug, do a great selection of travel-sized toiletries and I managed to get a mini version of this Nivea hand cream (30ml) for less than £1. ~~~ The Claim ~~~ "Smoothes hands, visibly reduces premature skin-ageing & helps prevent age spots" The Q10 PLUS is supposed to be Nivea's anti-ageing range. Q10 is reference to a coenzyme that exists ... Read the complete review
