Advantages: Moisturises well; soothes and heals chapped hands; smells nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't absorb completely
I suffer from dry skin on my hands, which is exacerbated by cold weather and harsh hand-washes. It's unpleasant to have rough, cracked hands - it feels very sore, looks dreadful, and means that it's less easy to have hygienically clean hands (microbes can hide in the cracks and rough skin, apparently).
Someone recommended a Tesco's own Q10 hand cream to me. I don't have a Tesco locally, so when I noticed a Nivea Q10 product for sale in Sainsburys priced at £3.19, I thought I'd try it. I needed a new hand cream, and although I'm not sure I need the anti-aging properties yet, I thought it couldn't do any harm.
The packaging is the usual tube-type container, with a flip top lid. When I got home, the flip-top lid was damaged, but this could have been my fault rather than a design flaw. I tried the hand cream overnight, because I find it annoying having hand cream on my hands whilst I'm trying to do various activities like typing, washing up or even brushing my hair - all hand creams do provide a bit of greasiness, I think.
It was absorbed fairly well into my hands - I put rather a lot on, so it wasn't all absorbed. It smelt pleasant and fresh, and felt soothing. In the morning, my hands felt a lot softer and happier - I think the 'Q10' element of hand creams does make them faster acting than usual hand creams - whatever Q10 is!
I'd recommend this hand cream to anyone, whether or not they're looking for an anti-aging product.
Please note that I've also posted this review on Ciao.
Summary: This works even on very dry skin. It's great value. It'll definitely help me out this Winter!
