During the winter just gone, I developed a problem I've never experienced before - dry hands. Not only were they extremely dry, but they were getting quite sore and red. I've never used hand cream (properly) before, so I didn't really know in which direction to turn. I did however know that Nivea make a good facial moisturiser that I continually use, so I figured a Nivea hand cream would be a safe bet.

This hand cream promises to "improve the skin's elasticity and leave hands and cuticles smooth and supple". It contains macadamia nut oil which is said to relieve and sooth taut skin. Since using it, my hands have stopped being chapped altogether, and are much softer. Even my nails seem to be benefiting from it. The softness when you first apply it is a lovely feeling, and my hands continue to be soft for a good few hours. It's got a really nice, clean fragrance to it too. I'm going to continue buying this for the winter months to come.

It's very easy to apply. You only need a tiny amount to give you ample coverage for both hands. It's just the right consistency, rubs in really well and dries quite quickly. It costs around £3.20 for a 100ml sized bottle and this should last you a good couple of months.
