Advantages: Creamy, fragrant and soft
Disadvantages: Could do with a hook on the lid
I'm a shower gel junkie, at the moment I have enough bottles of the stuff in both my bedroom and bathroom to wash an army for a decade. I always look out for new ones when I'm shopping and if I see any on offer I grab as many as I can carry.
My latest purchase is the new offering from Nivea with the delightful name of Happy Time. Have a happy time in the shower! I certainly do with this lush, fragrant, creamy body wash.
The body wash (remember this isn't a run of the mill shower gel) is sold in generous 250ml bottles with handy flip top lids. I would have liked to have a hook on the lid so it can be hung up in the shower as I don't have a bath but I guess you can't have everything.
The shower cream normally retails at £1,75 per bottle which is a fair price anyway but when I bought this recently in Boots they were on offer for £1 each so of course I snapped up a couple without even having a sniff first, insane I know!
I needed have worried about the fragrance of this stuff however as it does smell absolutely gorgeous. On flipping the top I was whacked in the face initially with the strong scent of orange which I found very refreshing. It actually made me gasp and bought a smile to my face. I'm such a kid! On reading the list of ingredients it turns out this contains a blend of orange blossom and bamboo milk. Nivea claim that the orange blossom stimulates the senses which certainly was the case with me.
The shower cream is thick and ever so slightly runny at the same time. It lathers up well and spreads over the skin easily. I spend a little more time in the shower than usual when I use this as I love the smell and feel of the stuff on my skin so much, it's almost a sensual experience. I can imagine it would be even better with my partner in the shower with me but sadly the cubicle is only big enough for one person :(
After drying myself off my skin feels soft and smooth. I didnt bother with my usual body moisturiser and I didnt notice any itchiness or dryness all day. Result!
You're guaranteed a happy time in the shower with this gorgeous shower cream.
Summary: Go get some!
