The NIVEA Firming Body Lotion Q10 Plus is available for GBP 5.15.
The body lotion is described as follows. "This powerful formula is enriched with skin's own coenzyme Q10, helping to support skin cell renewal. The formula works with your skin and improves it's appearance: Leaves your skin feeling firmer and tighter. Noticeably improves skin's firmness in 2 weeks. Moisturises intensely for smooth and supple skin."
The ingredients are Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Octyldodecanol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Dimethicone, Ubiquinone, Creatine, 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide, Dicaprylyl Ether, Myristyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Sodium Carbomer, Propylparaben, Linalool, Citronellol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene and Parfum.
The lotion smells pretty intense flowery what equal bothered me before because I prefer subtle perfume, or just even none. If I want to smell, I'll perfume! The removal works well, the opening is not too large. The creamy lotion can also distribute and rub in very quickly. She pulls very well into the skin and you can therefore also apply in the morning before dressing. But I use body lotions almost only in the evening after a bath because I'm usually too lazy for that. The lotion smoothes the skin quite superficial, but nothing has been streamlined as well this should work? Considers the effect, when applied at night also very good until the next morning while showering at, but also the superficial skin-smoothing effect was quickly gone. I think the effect of the lotion corresponds to the similar body lotions and I can double the amount of Q10 no effect advantage detect visually or by skin feeling ago. In addition, here is virtually only synthetic chemicals and contain, so I never imagined the lotion then never himself bought later. Which is also the fragrance unobtrusive and less intense in the normal case. However, the skin compatibility in this NIVEA Lotion was still, in spite of the synthetic, very good, I noticed no problems.
I am a huge fan of Nivea products, I find them really nice ones and I think they are super value for money. I love the way the products soften my skin and work really well. I use quite a lot of body lotions and body butters because I have very dry skin and I like to make sure I moisturise every single day.
This body lotion comes in a plastic bottle, it is a nice rich lotion and has a really nice soft texture to it. It doesn't drip from the bottle while pouring it onto my hands. I find it has a really nice fragrance to it and one being quite floral, it is a quite a strong smell and really pleasant. The fragrance remains on the skin for quite some time after it has been applied.
With this one, only a small amount is needed to soften the skin. I just pour a small amount into the palms of my hands and gentle just massage it over my body. I pay attention to my elbows because I am finding as I am getting older, this area is becoming much drier than when I was younger. I have really dry skin and this one does soften it and moisturise it extremely well.
I find it isn't a greasy lotion and not too heavy on my skin. It soaks fully into the skin in around 5 minutes or so and so I can get dressed soon after applying it and not having to wait awhile for it to dry. Once dried I can definitely feel how soft my skin has become. My skin feels soft to the touch with no sticky feeling at all or it feeling all tacky etc.
It is a rich lotion and it doesn't have a runny consistency and so it doesn't make a mess all over the place while using it. It is a firming lotion but I can't see a difference with my skin being much firmer but I can tell it does kind of feel really supple and soft. Products of this kind sometimes take a few weeks to work on the skin with regular use but I have been using it for around a month or so and found the results give just a supple feeling and not the firmer feeling like some other product but I am happy with the results of my skin feeling much more supple. My skin is quite sensitive too and I have found this one hasn't irritated my skin at all. Just it feeling extremely nourished.
I use this lotion all over my body, my legs, arms, chest, stomach, elbows and knees. I find it softens all these areas perfectly and leaves my skin feeling fully nourished. Nothing more irritating to me than having dry skin, it irritates the life out of me and annoys me. This lotion works a treat for keeping the skin soft and I like to use it after my showers. It doesn't just soften the skin on my body, I have found it also softens the palms of my hands too because I massage it gently into my skin for a good 5 minutes or so and so my fingertips and palms are also being treated at the same time. Even my fingertips feel really soft after using this lotion. Wonderful feeling when the fingers are having a treat too.
It gives the skin that healthy wonderful glow, a look I really like on my skin, my skin looks really healthy using this one and the skin doesn't have that heavy glossy look when it looks kind of wet or greasy, just a nice glow with a little sheen look.
I paid just over £3 for this lotion and it is worth every penny spent. The amount of lotion in the bottle is 250ml and only a small amount is needed to soften the skin. A little really does go a very long way with this lotion. It is excellent quality and very good value for money in my opinion.
I highly recommend this one if you have dry skin and are looking for a good brand, I don't think you would be disappointed in the results this one gives for softening the skin. It is affordable for most budgets. The brand is a really good one and one of my favourites. Nivea never fail to give the results that I expect for softening my skin.
Also appears on Ciao under my username pinky50.
The bottle can be recycled after use.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review and I hope it has been of some help.

I bought Nivea firming body lotion after my second son was born and things were a little "saggy" in the hopes it would tighten things up and help my skin get back to the way it was.
I bought it from boots for £3.50 for 250ml (on offer) but it usually retails at about £5 and can be bought from other places too like supermarket and other chemists. I went into the store not knowing what to buy (I knew I wanted a firming cream) and saw this on offer and thought it looked quite good. It didn't really stand out to my though as it's in quite a boring white bottle with a white lid and a very pale yellow picture of a woman which is quite difficult to work out.
I always apply cream at night before bed as I don't like being sticky and putting clothes on over cream so I opened it up and had a smell before putting some on. It wasn't a bad smell but not the nicest I've smelt on body lotions. It smells a little chemically and both me and my husband said it smells just like sun cream (which is great if you like the smell of sun cream, which I do not!).
I opened the flip top lid and poured some out onto my hands to warm it up before slapping it on and found it to be very watery and runny. I rubbed it into to my "saggy" areas and it seemed quite greasy and left my looking a little shiny. After about 15/20mins though my skin did soak it in and made it feel quite smooth.
Now it says on the bottle "firms the skin in 2 weeks". This was a pretty big task at hand for the cream but I can't say I noticed much of a difference in 2 weeks and not even really within 4 weeks so I wouldn't really say this cream firms much up but it did leave my skin feeling very soft and moisturised after using it for a while.
Its not the most natural of products either which doesn't bother me too much but I prefer as less chemicals as possible but even the smell of this is quite chemically :-
Aqua, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Octyldodecanol, Alcohol Denat., Stearic Acid, Dimethicone, Ubiquinone, Creatine, 1-Methylhydantoin-2-Imide, Dicaprylyl Ether, Myristyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Sodium Carbomer, Propylparaben, Linalool, Citronellol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Parfum.
I probably wouldn't use this again as its only really good as a moisturiser as it left me feeling a little greasy and there are much better, less runny and nicer smelling on the market for a lot less.
I have used a few products lately in the hope that they might firm up my skin. I'm not getting any younger, and though I may only still be in my thirties, I am trying to do all I can to hold back the hands of time. I had read about a product by Nivea called Q10 Firming Lotion and as it had 75p off the bottle, I decided to give this a go. The cost without the discount was expensive at £6.49 so I wasn't going to be tempted to buy this at full price but was prepared to give it a go with the money off. My husband just sighs at me, totally exasperated, as I nave numerous bottles of firming and toning creams for both my face and body and I have such high hopes then get disappointed with them.
I decided from the outset to use this firming lotion on a REGULAR basis. I say that because a lot of lotions I buy for both my face and body, I sort of lose interest in and expect immediate results. Obviously, this doesn't happen and then I stop using the product. With Nivea Q10 Firing Lotion I made a concerted effort to use every single night after my bath and shower and I used this all over my body (but concerted on my thighs, buttocks and my poor old saggy tum).
The cream was medium thickness on consistency and had a very mild, almost hardly detectable fragrance to it. It was pale in colour and it was absorbed instantly into my skin. In fact, it was absorbed so quickly that I found it was a little difficult to spread it around and get a good rhythmic massage going.
I used this for six week, every single night, without fail. I really truly cannot tell you that I noticed one single jot of difference at all to the firmness or tone of my skin. I was disappointed but I thought that I'd experiment and use this cream 'by the book' as it states on the bottle that best results are achieved with long-term use.
My skin is perhaps marginally softer than it was before, but I could achieve that with any old bog standard moisturising lotion.
I would say that overall that this product is simply not worth the money. It is no different at all to any other cheap moisturising lotion I have used in the past and now the whole bottle is used up I am certainly not going to be tempted to go out and buy more of this.
Not worth the money and a very disappointing product overall.
I've recently been trying to lose a bit of weight. After losing two stone my stomach is starting to look loose and horrible, I'm not at my goal weight yet (by a mile!) so it's only going to get worse. I've been looking out for some firming cream to use on my stomach area and when I spotted this one from Nivea I thought I'd give it a go.
Nivea Q10 firming body lotion is quite widely available to purchase from supermarkets and places such as Boots and Superdrug. A couple of different bottle sizes are available to buy, I bought the 400ml bottle for around £6.50 from my local Tesco.
The packaging is quite typical of Nivea products being pearly white in colour with the Nivea branding in blue. The front of the bottle claims that using this lotion daily can make your skin firmer in only 2 weeks. The back of the bottle contains all the normal information, ingredients, how to apply etc. At the top of the bottle there is a flip top lid that when opened reveals a nice size hole for the product to come out of.
I find it easy to get the product out of the bottle, when it comes out it is pearly white in colour and has quite a nice consistency and feeling to it, it's not too runny and is quite creamy so it's not greasy in any way. The scent of the lotion is the same as other Nivea products and doesn't really have any scent at all, just a clean smell. To apply the lotion, the bottle directs you to apply it in upward circular motions, after doing this it soaks in to skin quite quickly so you aren't left feel sticky.
After using this for around a month now I can see a difference in my skin, before it looked almost lifeless around the stomach area but now it feels smoother and slightly firmed. I knew it wouldn't work miracles but I am impressed with the results. I have a bit of a routine with body creams at the moment and use different ones in the morning and then make sure I use this one before I go to bed. I recently felt a bit lazy and left it a few days without using it and I definitely noticed a difference in my skin and in just a few days it wasn't feeling as firm so I think it will be a product I will be using for the foreseeable future.
I'd definitely recommend this Nivea Q10 firming body lotion. It isn't that expensive compared to other products I've looked at buying for my problem areas but the results are fantastic and I'm very pleased with the outcome from using it daily. The results soon diminish when you stop using it which is inevitable so not really a problem.
Having a particularly dry skin means moisturising is a must! I would never go without moisturising my face but for years neglected to pay any attention to my body. I started using the dreaded sunbeds in my 20's and found my skin to be even drier (as one would expect from being sizzled and fried by 200+ WATT bulbs.) I also found when applying fake tan it would never smooth on perfectly and would stick to the drier areas..very unsightly and offputting. Shaving my legs was the worst as I would never get a close shave and ALWAYS felt scaley and prickly. It was definately time to find a suitable body lotion.
This was a chore in itself! I'm quite fussy with the products I use...if I am buying things I have to feel like its working and can differentiate with and without but I can't abide thick, gloopy sticky products. So I tried a few...all the Jergens natural range (each of them had the foulest (apparently natural) smell that lasted all day..some may like this but really not my cup of tea) they were also quite light in texture which disappeared really quickly but didn't bounce back in moisture. I tried bio oil and as positive as the feed back is on that, I felt that wasn't enough either. No 7 and vaseline were far too greasy and cocoa butter was too thick and caused spots on the usual areas. So after 6 months was still really struggling finding something I wanted to repurchase.
I eventually started trialling nivea and ended up with rich nourishing body lotion for dry skin and was happy with that for a little while but was going through a 400ml bottle in 2 weeks. They had an offer on at Boots for 3 for 2, so picked this up as my 3rd item to trial it. I liked the idea of firming (something the current one didn't offer) Well as soon as I tried it I knew it was the one. As with all nivea products it features that fresh clean distinctive scent of essential oils (you'd be able to recognise it blindfolded). I found it was just at the right consistency to not be too greasy and sticky (which would feed the spots), but felt there was enough moisture for it to not just disappear. It definately counteracts the damaging effects of the sunbeds! It brightened and illuminates my skin and even out my skintone which can tend to look a bit like corned beef! In regards to its 'firming' properties, there are soooo many products on the market with these claims, where do you start? Q10 has been around for years and is still a really popular ingredient within the Nivea brand and trusted by consumers so this is enough confirmation for me. Now I know at 25, I'm not by any means mature or aged but I do still have the dreaded dimpling of cellulite, with less bounceback on my skin than I once had. However I can confirm after a month my skin was firmer and much smoother around the thigh and bottom area. I also feel my skin looks much more glowy and radiant. And definately much more bounceback.
I have been using this for 4 months now having repurchased time and time again and can safely say I WILL be using it for the foreseeable future. Boots often have rather good deals on this whether it is 3 for 2, buy one get one half price, or even half price on very rare occasions. I would definately recommend it and can confirm it does exactly what it says on the tin!!
This is not a product I ever would have thought of trying and I'm not sure how I came to own it but I do so I've been trying it out for the last few weeks and I actually quite like it. It costs £6.63 for a 400ml bottle in Boots, which I think is quite expensive for a body lotion.
The bottle it comes in looks pretty good and has a funny shape which makes it stand out from other bottles on the shelves. It has a flip top lid that makes it much easier and more convenient to use than screw top bottles, but it isn't see through so you can't easily see how much is left.
It's quite a runny white lotion with a really smooth texture. It doesn't have much of a scent to it really and I can barely notice the smell of it unless I really try, but when I do it just smells creamy with a slight fruitiness to it. It says on the front of the bottle that it has a new scent so I would have expected something more noticeable really.
It glides so easily over the skin which means that a little really does go along way with this lotion. It sinks into the skin almost instantly so it's not really necessary to massage it in, but doing so is supposed to help get the best out of the product and it's firming capabilities. It does feel nice massaging the skin with it on as it feels really smooth so my hands run easily and freely over the skin rather than dragging or pulling.
I do find it gives an instant firming feeling to my skin, not dramatic but definitely noticeable. It also leaves it feeling really soft and smooth and really well moisturised without any greasy feeling or residue left behind. I'm not convinced that it actually does genuinely firm the skin as the firming feeling wears off pretty soon after applying it and after using it for weeks my skin still doesn't feel any firmer, but it does feel much smoother.
A couple of weeks ago I started to swim or jog every day. I bought myself a heart rate monitor to supervise my performance and I am really desperate on gaining back my shape I used to have before I gave birth to my sons. I changed my diet as well to achieve my goal sooner. When you loose weight you have to think of your skin too as only firm and smooth skin looks good and healthy.
Nivea is a hundred year old German brand on the skin care market and I think it is a reliable brand with innovative and very good quality products. The range of products Nivea manufactures is very wild. They manufacture face care products, body care products, sun care products, bath care products, men's care products, deodorants and lip care products. Nivea products are widely available in supermarkets, drug stores and pharmacies as well. The price of their products is about average. Some innovative face care products can be expensive but mostly they are affordable.
Body lotion with Q10
Q10 sounds like magic. It is almost a basic ingredient of skincare products. What is Q10? It is a coenzyme which is primarily in the mitochondria and it participates in aerobic cellular respiration generating energy. Its concentration is higher in organs that need more energy e.g. heart, kidney, liver. Soybean is a main natural resource for Q10 but you can buy nowadays in form of gel capsules and most firming creams contain it.
Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion comes in a very nicely designed plastic tube. It contains 400 ml firming body lotion for normal skin. The firming body lotion aims to help your skin being toned and supple and not to lose elasticity. The firming effect comes from other active ingredients of the body lotion; Q10 helps the skin to renew itself and empowers the skin with energy.
How to apply?
Nivea promises visibly firmer skin in only two weeks. How to achieve this visible result? Massage the body lotion into your skin with upward circular motions. Although the body lotion absorbs quite quickly it is worth massaging your body all over for a couple of minutes. It is worth spending some time on it for better results. The body lotion should be used on a daily basis.
As I do swimming or jogging every day I take a hot shower and I massage the cream well into my skin. I found that my skin looks moisturized and is soft after applying the body lotion. Usually the massage helps my muscles relax a little bit so it has double function.
Nivea says that by using this body lotion on a daily basis for two weeks makes your skin look visibly firmer and tighter, moreover it protects your skin against further loss of elasticity and you will have beautiful smooth and supple skin.
I do use it every day since I started to exercise regularly because I would like to have firm skin. I found that my skin is tighter than previously and it is also more elastic. It is good to touch it and I really feel it healthy.
The body lotion has very mild scent so it can be used by man as well although their skin is slightly different and they don't suffer from cellulite as often as women. The body lotion is white and its texture is nicely creamy. It comes out easily from the tub as it is a bit runny. It is easy to apply and massage in the skin.
I have tried other firming body lotions as well and I found that Nivea is an effective one. My skin really looks firmer and the 5 kilograms weight loss doesn't have any bad effect on my skin. I will continue exercising regularly to gain back my old shape and I will use this body lotion in the future as it does what the manufacturer promised. I bought it on offer for about 3 pounds which is a very good price for it. I use about a tablespoon quantity for my whole body so it lasts quite long. I don't know how long actually, but I use mine for almost a month and I still have some in the tub.
