Advantages: nice colour, easy to apply, moisturises skin, smells OK too!
Disadvantages: bottle gets slippy, only 1 shade available
I have very pale skin and have tried many fake tan products over the years to stop me from looking like Morticia Addams. This is the best product I have used by far. I found the product in Sainsbury's at half price on their current Nivea sun Promotion (£3.50 instead of £7.00). As a spray I felt I may have more chance of an even application as it is more fluid and less likely to gloop than a lotion. It comes in a bronze bottle that claims it is moisturising as well as containing Vitamin E. The instructions say to apply to clean exfoliated skin - none of this moisturise first malarkey. I used a body scrub in the shower then set about applying the spray. First up the smell. As fake tans go this one is quite nice smelling more fresh than chemically. Then the application. The product sprays on well and rubs in and dries quickly but leaves the skin feeling soft. My niggle is that as the product is a liquid and I rub in after a few sprays the bottle got quite slippery - it could do with re-shaping a bit. Finally the result. It says on the bottle a result will arrive after a couple of hours. Mine didn't it took a night to change colour. Boy was it worth the wait. I was a smooth even golden colour without a hint of a streak or an orange tinge. The colour lasted for about 5 days gradually fading which is about the same as with other products I have used. I've used this product all over my body 3 times and still have lots left so it is really long lasting. I have even used it as an emergency measure on non-exfoliated skin and only got one streak which I was impressed by. Would I buy the product again? You betcha I would I've stocked up while it is on special offer!!! Overall I found this a reasonable price good quality product my only gripe is with the shape of the bottle and I've even got round that by wrapping it up in an old face cloth. If you have dark ski
n this may not be the product for you as it only comes in one shade.

- 20/05/02 I have tried this product and agree that the tan is very natural looking with no streaks. However I really don't like the smell and it does take longer to appear than other self tans. helpful op tho.

- 05/05/02 I'll probably give this one a try, too. I'm currently one of the "undead" and hope a fake tan will make me look a little more alive. ;-) |

- 02/05/02 Thanks for this one. During the summer I like to dispense with makeup and use fake tan. I shall try this one as I am off to Sainsbury this evening. |
