I like to use a body moisturiser everyday after a shower as my skin can feel quite dry. I noticed a few body moisturisers with added benefits when I was browsing the shelves at Boots and, having previously tried the 'holiday skin' varieties I decided I would opt for one that boasted of 'firming' qualities. Intrigued as to what effect that would have on how I looked - and whether firmer skin meant a more toned looking body - I bought a bottle of Nivea Firming Lotion with Q10 plus. This cost me around £6 for a bottle of 400ml (at the time of writing, April 2013, this is currently half price at Boots - £3.49).
Q10 is the 'skin's own anti-ageing complex' and this helps to improve skin firmness and nourish the skin. The Q10 lotion is said to help stimulate cell's energy production in the upper skin layers and also penetrate deeply to intensively moisturise and support the skin's natural structure. The bottle promises that it 'leaves your skin firmer and tighter in 2 weeks'.
The lotion comes in a simple white plastic squeezy bottle with a blue cap that can be flipped and the lotion squeezed out. There is a yellow silhouette of a very trim looking lady on the front and basic labelling about the product.
The lotion itself is quite creamy. It smells slightly perfumed and very pleasant. Sometimes squeezing the bottle can leave me with too much lotion as it does come out quite fast - and it is not easy to put back into the bottle, so there can be some wastage. The lotion applies to the skin easily and is absorbed quite well - it takes a little longer to be fully absorbed than I would expect but once it does my skin feels dry to the touch and there is no greasy residue left on the surface. I used this after my shower every night for the two weeks suggested - concentrating especially on areas that I though the skin could be firmer - my tummy, arms and thighs. After two weeks, my skin felt soft and very well cared for but I did not notice any significant improvement in firmness. This was disappointing as I was expecting some improvement, even if very slight.
Overall, this is a decent moisturiser and my skin did feel better for using it, but I saw very little effect of the 'Q10' complex and my skin didn't really feel any firmer so I probably wouldn't buy this again for that reason.
Although I'm slender and not quite thirty yet, I've always suffered from horrible cellulite that puts me off ever showing my legs in public. As such, whenever I have a spare few quid (which is, admittedly, not often) I might splash out on some kind of wonder cream in the hope of correcting the problem. I've tried many and various lotions along similar lines to this Nivea product with no obvious results. I have to confess, I'm exceedingly lazy when it comes to daily beauty routines, so perhaps this is partly responsible for my lack of success. With this lotion though I've been pretty good, as my New Year's resolution was to get my legs looking nice, and I've managed to use the stuff around every other day for the past 5 weeks.
The lotion's claim to fame is that it contains the coenzyme Q10 plus - this is something that is produced naturally in skin to maintain firmness, but less and less so as we age. Hence why Nivea decided to create this helping-hand. They boast that after just 2 weeks you should have 'visibly firmer skin' and 'noticeably tighter skin'. So has it worked for me? Sadly, I can't say with any confidence that it has. I use it on my most squidgy areas, e.g. bum, hips and thighs, but they all still seem to be pretty squidgy. There are times when I look in my mirror and think, hopefully, that maybe there is some improvement, however I think if you really have to search for it then the results are negligible anyway. Strangely enough, immediately after application, my skin does actually feel a little tighter. It's just that it doesn't really look tighter, and there's no obvious long-term change, except for feeling more moisturised than normal. I will admit this lotion is a really decent moisturiser, however there are cheaper products that will do this job just as well.
It's also easy to apply - not so thin that it's absorbed straight away, but not so thick that you have to spend hours rubbing it in. This means your legs get a bit of a massage as well as a moisturise. Some people swear this stuff has made a difference to them, and I do sometimes wonder if it's the act of massaging the squashy bits everyday that causes the improvement rather than the product itself. Perhaps some people are much more determined masseurs, applying more of the lotion and spending more time rubbing it in. Or else maybe the success of the lotion can depend on skin type, diet and other factors that will obviously vary greatly from one person to another.
The lotion has a nice smell, that reminds me a little of sunscreen, so that's no bad thing. If you like products that have a really nice girly smell, however, this probably wouldn't be right for you. You don't need a large amount of the lotion, it spreads pretty well, and doesn't really leave any greasy residue - there's no worry about it sticking to your clothes etc if you've rubbed it in properly, although you may want to wipe with a towel if you don't like the feel of the product on the surface of the skin.
The packaging is pleasant - a simple white bottle with minimal text on the front and the general appearance of a quality product. The flip-top lid makes it easy to use.
The price of this lotion varies enormously depending on the shop and whether there are offers on - I got my 200ml bottle from Superdrug for around £6. There is also a 400ml bottle, which I guess would be around the £8 mark. I suspect this product can also be found in Wilkinson's, where it is bound to be cheaper.
In summary, I didn't feel Nivea's claims about firmer skin applied to me, so I probably wouldn't buy this again. Although it's a nice moisturiser, it's not really worth the money just on that basis.
At just under £9 for 200ml this is not the cheapest of body lotions, but I bought it a while ago when it was on offer in Boots- as let's face it, not only do I need body lotion, but I need firming.
The product contains Coenzyme Q10 which apparently the body has as a natural skin component and which decreases with age. This decrease leading to loss of the skin's firmness. So the lotion is said to restore your skin's elasticity by replacing the absent Q10. Also therefore aiding with your skin's tone.
Well my regular use has been every day to the point where I have used half of the product. I have to be honest I can see no difference, it is just acting like any other body lotion and moisturising my skin- this it is doing very well. Now Nivea is a well respected company and they have done trials and proven this product's effect- it just hasn't worked for me.
It is very easy to apply as it is an easily absorbed liquid which you apply all over your body massaging in with circular movements. Unlike with other body lotions I don't mind putting it on when I am going out as it is not like so many other body moisturisers in that it doesn't take forever and a day to be fully absorbed. It contains Liposomes and intensive moisturisers to keep your skin smooth.
It has an aroma, but not a perfume, just a clean fresh smell.
Now I can only review as I find and no product will work well for everybody, it could work brilliantly for you- so I can only say as a body lotion - it is great- as a firmer- well a steam iron it is not.
NIVEA SKIN FIRMING LOTION WITH Q10
I have to review this body lotion, not because it's necessarily gave me firmer skin, but because it did achieve some of it's aims and make a difference to my skin.
The lotion that I tried came in a 200ml bottle and claimed to give you:
~Visibly firmer skin
~Noticeably firmer skin.
It contains CoEnzyme Q10, present normally in the body but decreasing with age. It advises daily use (especially after a bath or shower) and after two weeks you WILL see results - well did I?
First off, it has a lovely gentle fragrance (although I couldn't identify a particular scent) and has a flip up top, so there is no losing the bottle top. It is neither watery, nor too thick and spreads evenly. It doesn't feel greasy on application and absorbs well, in fact it does remind me a little bit of that holiday feeling when you put on after sun. I leave it for a minute or so and if I do so, then I don't feel that my clothes stick to me.
So after two weeks, have I got a superfirm body? Well no, sorry to disappoint. but I'm afraid that only healthy food and exercise are going to do that for me. Hey-ho better put a bit of effort in then! However, my skin DID feel noticably smoother and more healthy. In fact, my fingers even felt better after applying the lotion. It made me feel like I was looking after myself and moisturising my skin made it feel less dry.
I could certainly feel the impact of Q10, in comparison to other ordinary creams I had tried.
I ran out of face cream last week and used a bit on my face - great result - but long term I would worry about the effect of using it on such a delicate area.
It is available from Tesco for £4.99 for 200ml (I'm sure it might be on offer sometimes, or available cheaper elsewhere)
I will endeavor to continue using this lotion, as I don't think that it is too expensive, yet gives me that luxurious feeling that expensive creams do. It offers good value for money. However, sometimes I do worry about the long term effects of using enzymes on the skin. Perhaps I will do more research on this. Recommended.
I fell in love with the Nivea Firming Lotion when I saw the advert promising firmer skin, I was going on holiday a few week after I saw the advert so I thought I'd nip to my local drugstore which I paid £6.99 for 300ml to buy the product as I wanted my skin to look as good as possible for my holiday.
The lotion comes in two bottle sizes I recommend you buy the bigger sized lotion as it works out cheaper than buying a few of the small.
I really liked the feel of this lotion on my skin as it was very cooling and very easy to rub in.
I advice that if you do buy the product don't make the same mistake I made and squeeze the lotion out hard as you end up with lots of excess on your hands.
I don't think the product does exactly what it says it doesn't really firm my skin but it does moisturise it very well, so I don't mind too much as my skin is a little bit dry. The lotion absorbs into your skin very quickly which is a good thing if you're just about to go out, there's nothing worse than having your clothes stick to your skin like a rainy day.
Nivea Skin Firming Lotion with Q10 comes in an 8 fl. oz. plastic bottle with a press-down top. It's a nice, slim bottle that is easy to grasp. While I didn't see this option at the time, it also comes in a pump-top bottle.
Lotion is very creamy, yet light. It smoothes easily over the skin, with a small amount going a pretty long way. It is absorbed into the skin fairly quickly, yet there is time to massage it into your skin a bit before it's totally absorbed.
The scent is on the lighter side as well, with a fresh fragrance I like; I hate the heavy fragrance lotions.
After my first application of Nivea Skin Firming Lotion my skin instantly felt moisturized and soft, with no sticky or greasy feeling. And I noticed the moisturizing effect lasted all day. So far, this was a really great body lotion, with all the things I look for in a moisturizer.
I've been using Nivea Skin Firming Lotion with Q10 now for well over a month. My skin has felt smooth and soft, and nicely moisturized... I can't say that the product has worked as far as making it firmer it isn't a noticeable difference. Mind But on the bottle, Nivea proclaims "Noticeably Firmer Skin." I can't say that it's quite lived up to that claim in my experience.
Nivea says that this lotion is "even more effective when combined with a healthy lifestyle." Maybe that's where I'm going wrong? Ha-ha.
Even though this lotion doesnt actually make my skin look firmer, I am going to continue using it as its a very good moisturiser.
This Nivea Firming Lotion claims if you use this product for two weeks you will find that your skin is firmer.I must go out and buy this product and see for myself because what I have read about it it sounds great. My friends have used it and says it works and I have tried it but only did it for a few days so I need to do the 2 week challenge to see if it really does what it says. The advanced formula contains skins own Q10Plus which is the new developed Engery Complex. Apparently the lotion works in two ways. It first helps to stimulate the skin's cells production in the upper layers of the skin and penetrates deeply into the skin which helps to support the skin and to give it a firmer and healthy look.
It is Dermatologically tested so that it is suitable for all skine types. The cost is about £4 for a 200ml size but I think it is best to shop around .

So when do we need to start using a firming lotion? at what age? -
I don't think there is a right or wrong age to start using a firming lotion, it is entirely up to the individual Skin that is not toned can be loose in the young, or old. Noticeably more so in mature skin, but even a younger person can have skin that is not taut. Someone who has lost a lot of weight for instance can have excess loose skin. This won't be a miracle cure for this case, but it can provide a tightening quality. What I am saying is, Nivea firming lotion is for the tightening of any age of adult skin. It will also make the skin look, and feel healthier. Grooming is all important, from tip to toe, and our skin is a very sensual part of our being. It should be nurtured and fed regularly to optimise it's full potential. The skin loses moisture, and dries out, with free radicals attacking it every day. We need to give back to the skin, the properties that Nature takes away. Skin should be moisturised daily after exfoliating, cleansing, and toning. I always splash cold water onto my skin, after washing my face and body with warm water, as the warm water opens the pores, then the cold splash of water closes them.~
*NIVEA BODY FIRMING LOTION*
Nivea firming lotion comes in a Classic white container, made of a squeezable plastic, with the familiar, trademark Nivea blue logo to the front of the container. The bottle has a blue flip-up, snap-to lid. It is well made, and secures easily. The bottle has a pearlised sheen to it, and sits comfortably within the hand. The bottle is slim, and easy to grip, and It promises visibly firmer and tighter skin. The shelf life, once opened, is 12 months. It contains the energy complex Q10 plus which claims to to stimulate your skin cell's, and to penetrate the dermis, and epidermis. This new, improved formula is similar to skins own energy Complex. Q10 plus helps to stimulate the skin cell's energy production, and penetrates deeply to help support the structure of the skin. It claims to see firming results in as little as 2 weeks. Nivea also back this Firming lotion up with a extensive range of Q10 products.- To the reverse of the bottle you have a full list of ingredients, and I must say this product does contain a lot!-I have actually bought a few of these firming lotions by various makers, wondering if, in fact, if they actually worked, and did what they said on the bottle. Or was it just all just full on advertising, and hype? ~
On opening the bottle, and squeezing a small amount to the surface, I was greeted by a pure white, slightly pearlised lotion. It had a very fresh fragrance to it, akin to a light perfume, and on checking the back of the bottle for the ingredients, I found it contained Parfum (fragrance), so I am none the wiser really. It is a very pleasant smell, maybe I could detect lemons and chamomile, but my overall description would be perfume, hard to define the contributory ingredients. Suffice to say, it has a very nice scent to it, very light and pleasant, and which lasts on the skin for quite some time.~
The lotion is free running, and not too thick. As soon as it comes in contact with the skin it has a cooling effect, and the lotion felt very luxurious as I massaged it into my skin. A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last a good while. I tend to put a small amount of the lotion into the palm of my hand, about a 50p size, and massage it into skin that is still damp. This will retain the perfume of the lotion within the skin much longer. I then knead the skin gently upwards in circular movements to stimulates the blood supply. The Nivea Firming Lotion feels silky, and smooth, and dries quickly as you are massaging it in. It does leave the palms feeling slightly sticky though, and I wanted to wash this off straight away, after I had finished applying the lotion. As soon as it had dried I felt a tightening effect to my skin. It definitely felt firmer and more defined. My skin also felt smooth and moisturised. It's not a drastic difference, but it does as it says, and tightens and firms the skin. ~
The feel of the lotion upon my skin felt wonderful. You don't need huge amounts as the lotion works well into the skin, and seems to spread easily, ensuring complete coverage. The texture is luxurious. It left my skin feeling very soft and silky, it also felt healthier somehow, and the rubbing it in relaxed me, as it felt like I had given myself a massage, and the scent from the lotion was very intoxicating, and strong, and added to a very pleasurable skin grooming experience.~
**Our Skin **
From day one skin needs to be cared for. A baby will have it's skin moisturised after it's bath. We need to protect and nourish our skin all through our lives. I have always looked after my skin, and am happy that I did so. As we age we will lose our vital moistures and collagen's. The skin loses it's ability to retain water, it loses elasticity, and wrinkles form. To slow this process down, we have to give back the much needed moisture to our thirsty skin. We must put back what we can due to the environmental damage, and ions in the atmosphere causing negative and harmful effects to the skin. If we look after our skin now, we can delay the signs of aging caused by UV rays and free radicals. It's vital to apply a protective layer that will help the skin to retain it's natural moisture, to ward off bacteria and negative Ions. Another harmful thing that affects our skin is prolonged use of chemicals and detergents. Protect your hands with a barrier cream before using strong products, this will ensure no chemicals enter a cut or abrasion, or even damage the skins surface. To nourish, and protect our skin now is an vital investment in our skins future.~
Our skin contains it's own special scent. It is this pheromone, and the smell it produces which will attract the opposite sex to us. It is our personal physical magnet. Our bodies are main factors in first impression attraction, therefore our skin plays a most important part of our sexual impression. It makes perfect sense that we should treat it with the utmost respect and care. Skin in the most sensual part of our being, and as such we should want it to be in prime condition, shining with a healthy glow. So physical attraction, and skin, play a very important role in relation to each other. Cherish your skin, it is potentially your biggest asset when in tip top condition. It is important before applying body crème, to exfoliate dead skin cells, to let the new skin breathe. So whilst bathing, a loofah of body scrub is a nice way to prepare the skin for the application of the Nivea Firming Lotion.~
**My Final Thoughts**
The Nivea Firming Lotion is the second bottle I have bought as I was pretty impressed with it, and felt it good enough to warrant another go. Praise in itself as I am very critical when it comes to beauty products. Many firming products don't live up to the advertising surrounding them . So I was pleasantly surprised to find the Nivea Firming Lotion had actually produced results. My skin felt toned, and looked younger, and firmer. The firming qualities promised are definitely produced upon the skin after I had applied the lotion. My skin felt tighter, supple, and firmer immediately after it had dried, upon first application, and continued to improve the quality of my skin, with continued use. It had a calming, cooling effect on my skin as soon as I smoothed it in. My skin felt smoother and very conditioned.
I particularly liked the perfume which is present within this product. The scent was very pleasant indeed, and added to the whole experience of after bath grooming, and stayed upon my skin for a considerable time throughout the day. Having applied it to damp skin had locked in the perfume, and made it stronger. It also acts as a very effective hand cream, giving a good barrier effect to protect against environmental damage, and daily wear and tear that we put our hands through. Washing up liquids today can contain antibacterial ingredients which can be very harsh upon the skin, as can bleaches and other products containing chemicals. So Nivea Firming Lotion will act as a very effective barrier cream, and as an added deterrent, wearing rubber gloves will protect against the harsh chemicals also. Skin is very prone to drying out, and cracking, and it is essential to moisturise as a daily beauty care routine.~
Nivea is a trusted brand. It has been with us since 1911, and it is one of the most popular cosmetics companies in the world. The word Nivea is derived form the Latin word nivius, which means snow white. Nivea strive to promote their product as pure and clean. Their Nivea cream has been in production since the early days, and it is a rich, thick, white cream, contained within a trademark blue pot. In it's early days it was called ' Beautiful Wax'. It is one of their best selling products, and I have been using this on my skin for many years. I love the rich feel of this cream, and it gives my skin a lovely, healthy glow. Nivea have striven for many years to promote the vision of their products to stand for activity and health. Their early advertising was promoting Nivea as a crème for outdoor activities expressed in a slogan entitled, "for sports and home." The Nivea ads were always full of energy and sun. In the 1960's Nivea started to produce body products, and in the 1980's extended their range to include a well rounded range of creams, including Sun, and baby care, and recently adding a body lotion for men.
Cosmetic Companies are beginning to realise there is a whole new market out there as regards to male health and body care.
NIVEA body is a moisturising body lotion for men, and is an all-over body moisturiser especially formulated to meet the needs of men's skin and it is dermatologically approved. The lotion includes Vitamin E and aloe vera, and it is non greasy, and claims to rehydrate, and enhance the skins natural protection.

From personal experience, after using two bottles of this product, I can wholeheartedly recommend Nivea Body Firming Lotion Q10 plus 100%.
Thank you for reading.
I think you reach a certain age in life when you definitely do not feel as young as you once did, I think for me it was about 35! You start to see lines, dimples and marks appearing and your skin just seems to start losing that young look and feel and does start to sag a bit! I have always tried to be pretty careful with my skin, I've always had quite dry, sensitive skin and have always tried to apply body cream regularly. Until that "certain age" I wasn't really fussy about the product I used just as long as it smelt good, felt good and was reasonably priced. I didn't really bother about the claims or what the product was supposed to do for you. Having a bit of time on my hands one day I decided to have a browse through the many different body creams and have a look at some of the wonders they were supposed to do for you. As I am an avid Nivea user anyway the Nivea Q10 Firming Lotion immediately caught my eye.
The bottle is a nice simple bottle, which I think looks good. A plain white plastic bottle with a navy flip lid, the Nivea Body symbol at the top and Firming Lotion Q10 Plus written below. There is also a refreshing, lemon silhouette of a woman to the left of the writing.
The cream itself has a lovely mild aroma, no strong perfume smells, just a light scent. It is easily squeezed from the top.
**How does this cream work?**
Well according to Nivea The Q10 Energy Complex is supposed to stimulate your skin cell's own energy to help with the production of the skin's upper layers and also penetrate deeply to help support the skin. We are advised to apply daily by gently massaging into the skin using upward movements. By doing this Nivea claim they have proven results, which visibly show firmer, tighter skin after just 2 weeks!
**Can I support the claims made by Nivea?**
This lotion is really easy to apply. It squeezes easily from the bottle. The texture is quite light and not too thick. A small amount is all you need for a good overall coverage. I usually start at my feet and work my way slowly up the body, massaging in thoroughly as I go. I feel this lotion is really easily absorbed and does not leave my skin feeling sticky or oily at all. In fact I love the way my skin feels and smells once I have applied this lotion. I do genuinely feel my skin is tighter straight after application. I have been using this lotion for a couple of years now and although do not have the time to use every day I do try hard to use it at least 2 or 3 times a week. I definitely feel an overall benefit from using this lotion, my skin certainly feels stronger and I personally feel looks better too. Now I have found this wonderful product I would not under any circumstances consider changing again and would without a doubt recommend to all, well, all who use body lotion anyway!! So YES I can support the claims that Nivea make.
Not only does this product actually do what is says on the bottle it can also be purchased at a very reasonable price. At the moment Tesco are selling the 200mls bottle for £3.75 and the 400mls bottle for £7.49. At this price, you just can't go wrong!
*** My Opinion ***
I first started using Nivea's products a few years ago after pinching a bit of my Mum's moisturiser and liking the soft, silky feeling it had on my skin. I've always enjoyed trying out new products, especially when it is a product designed by a company I love, such as Nivea.
I am really in to looking after my body and trying out new products, so when Nivea Firming Lotion advertised on my screen, of course I had to try it. So the next time I was in my local boots, I remembered about the product after seeing it advertised on a display shelf and popped it in my basket. For 400mls it cost me roughly £7.48. This may be quite steep for some but I guess it depends on what you want from your product and I'm sure if you look hard enough, you could find it cheaper elsewhere.
Anyway, after getting home that day and having a shower, I tried out my new product. I smothered the lotion all over my body and waited for roughly 5 minutes so that it could be absorbed in to my skin before getting changed again. Unfortunately, it did take a while for the lotion to absorb in to my skin which can be a bit of a pest. The texture was nice and smooth, it wasn't too runny yet not too gloopy either - just perfect. The lotion also had a nice, pleasant smell which wasn't strong. It was nice and subtle but smelt fresh. The next day, my skin felt fantastically soft but this wasn't really what the product was aimed for. Obviously, you shouldn't expect drastic results as this is a lotion and not a surgical instrument, so I kept applying the lotion to my skin for the next few days. By day 4, I can say I noticed a slight difference. The difference could probably not be seen to others, but I felt as though my skin was tighter and more taught. Result! So the product does do as it claims in the way that it will firm your skin. However, if you are looking for drastic results, I suggest you look at alternative methods.
*** What's in the product? ***
Nivea Body Firming Lotion contains silk compatibly co-enzyme Q10. What does this do? Co-enzyme Q10 replenishes your skin's natural ability to stay firm. The lotion also contains Lipsomes and intensive moisturisers which improve the elasticity and skin tone. The lotion will also smooth and improve your skin structure, provides long-lasting moiusture (which will explain why my skin felt so smooth the next day!).
*** Packaging ***
The bottles are made of plastic and are squeezable which makes an easier application. The secure lid clips on to ensure your lotion does not leak. As you can see from the bottle, it details information on the product and how to use the lotion, as well as storage instructions etc.
*** Where can I buy this product? ***
Well as you can see above, I bought this product from Boots. However, Nivea products are widely available and can be purchased in shops such as Superdrug, Tesco, Asda, Avon and many more.
*** Price ***
Obviously the price varies depending on where you buy the lotion and what volume of bottle you choose. As you can see from above, I bought mine for £7.48 at 400mls.
Ok so we've all seen the advert...but I think we get deceived by the models who already have perfectly firmed skin, I mean they dont show you a before and after scenario, so I thought Id give this a try, little did I know what a waste of money it would be! I cannot deny that my skin felt softer after I used it and it did get rid of the dry skin on my legs, created by shaving. However, I used the product as stated on the back of the bottle, " Improved skin firmness after two weeks", so I used it everyday for 2 weeks and yes my skin was softer and my skin felt healthier but no, I did not see a difference is the tone of my skin, as I have rather wobbly legs I thought this would be fantastic. I would suggest now though that this could be used in conjunction with the common approaches of exercising and drinking plenty of water to break down the fatty acids in the legs that create cellulite and bumpy skin. So by all means try this product to see if it works for you...but it definitely did not do the correct job for me.
Yes I'm the first to admit that my skin is anything from perfect. A lot of people will disagree with me as I'm lucky enough to have naturally bronzed looking skin and I look toned even though I'm not. Oh if those people only knew...
See the truth is that my skin is dry and feels like jelly when its touched (OK, I exagerate slightly but its just so you get my point). Anyway, when I first saw an advert for this new skin firming cream I though "great!" as it claimed it would:
* Increase elasticity and improve skin tone
* Smooth and improve skin structure
* Provide long lasting moisture
* Light and easily absorbed
so i rushed out to Superdrug to buy it. I was horrified to discover that it was £5.89 for a 200ml bottle which is impossible for me as i moisturise twice a day and with quite a lot of flesh to cover (5 ft 9, size 14) i didn't think it'd last a week. So I didn't buy it. A few weeks later when shopping in a Supasave store I noticed the same bottle for only £1.99. Bargain! I snapped up 2 bottles.
I used it the next day after taking a shower and noticed imediately that my skin looked softer and more firm. It left my skin feeling supersoft and slightly dewy. It also absorbed very well, it sort of melted into my skin.
I used it for around 3 months and while i didn't see a dramatic improvement i'd definately say its worth using. My skin was smoother and well moisturised, i didn't notice a huge improvement in tone but my skin definately looked a lot better.
first of all i was septical about using this product. but being who i am i have to try every... or nearly every beauty product on the high street so i thought id give it a go. The packaging is not really attractive and very simple just plain white with a blue lid which i suppose is great for those people who like things minimalist but not really my thing. the smell is like a typical moistureizer not lovely but not horrible either. now for the product itself. the consistance was just right it wasnt too gooey but it wasnt to thick and it rubbed into my skin in a matter of seconds. after a couple of days of using it my legs started to feel lovely and smooth.... almost like silk. but no firming action in sight.. well not yet after a week my legs started to look more smooth and toned and reduced the effect of celulitte and imperfections in my legs after about three weeks my legs felt as if they didnt wobble as much. so it deffenetly did firm it up. the only thing is you have to apply it every day because my friend who used this product didnt use it every day and it didnt have as much effect on her. so taking into consideration if you want to have firm legs you have to use it every day you can imagine how much cream you can get through, and because the product isn't cheep it can cost an awful lot to sum it up this is a great product but it would be better if it was a bit cheaper
Like most people, I want to have the toned firm body of a goddess without all the normal stuff you have to do to get it, like torturing yourself down the gym or depriving yourslef of fantastic eating experiences. So whilst browsing through my latest edition of Take a Break I noticed a bit in the beauty feature about a body moisturiser which could actually help you to gain firmer skin. MMMMM thinks me firm body, no sweat, no deprivation just has to be worth a look, so off I trotted to my local Superdrug, marching straight to the Nivea section I quickly shrunk away when I seen the price for this little gem was £5.89 for 200ml. But I still wanted it, so I headed off to Boots but alas still nearly £6.00 for 200ml, just buy it I hear you say, but to be honest 200ml wouldn't last me long as an everday body moisturiers and at nearly £6.00 a pop it would be relegated to a now and again treat. But then I had myself a brainwave, not easy when your on your lunch hour dashing about like a mad chicken, and my brainwave was Bodycare and true to form the did have it at the cost of only £3.89, so I grabbed 2 bottles and headed to the checkout. Following my bath that night I flipped open the lid and applied to my bod. The first think that struck me was the smell, it smelt fresh and kind of talcum powdery subtle and not too overpowering. The second think that struck me was that it actually sunk into my skin, a test most body creams have failed, I seem to have the type of skin moisturiser just sits on. Now that i've given you a taster of my first use and before I go into the results let me tell you a bit about the actual product. It comes in 2 sizes 500ml and 200ml I have only found the 200ml bottle at a cheaper price the bigger bottle is nearly £10. The bottle is a standard Nivea bottle white with a blue flip top lid. It claims to be able to: * Increase elasticity and improve skin tone
* Smooth and improve skin structure * Provide long lasting moisture * Light and easily absorbed This is due to a coenzyme in the product called Q10, being a bit of a nerd at time I looked into this so called enzyme and found out that it is one which we have naturally in our bodies but which loses i5's potency as we get older, the function of this enzyme is it replenshies the bodies natural ability to stay firm. Ok you may say but does this lotion work, well I have to say the results so far have been very promising, but don't expect instant results. After the first application my skin was definately smoother and felt nicer, also I have to say that on application you can feel a slight tingle like your body crying out for something lost. I have been using this product now for about 1 1/2 months and taking into account all the factors that the product says it will do it works, my skin looks more smooth, feels more smooth, and has a nicer looking appearance. I have also found that some of my stretch marks (no kids just yoyo weight gain and lose) seem to be fading slightly. Also my skin does feel ever so slightly firmer. In summary this is a product I would definately recommend however, do take care to shop around as you can see the difference in price from £5.89 to what I paid £3.89. Thank you for reading.
I am always skeptical of those so called miracle products that promise to tone and tighten skin because honestly if it were that easy why wouldn't everyone have a firm butt and thin thighs? Well honestly those products don't work and neither does this one, but it does do an incredible job on softening the skin and replacing moisture that is often lost after showering. i use this product after I shave my legs to give them that baby bottom smoothness that my boyfrien loves so much and am very impressed with the effectiveness in which it does the job. if your looking for firmer skin it's not going to be in this bottle and you would have more luck finding it at a gym or with that stair climber you have hidden in your closet with the other exercise equipment just collecting dust!!! However if you are looking for smooth soft and supple skin this is a great product. It has a creamy light weight formula which is easily abosorbed into the skin and a light scent that won't interfere with perfumes or deodorants. Plus it doesn't cost a lot of money like other products that promise to do the same thing but never do.
I usually buy Keihl's Creme de' Corps but thought I'd try something cheaper that makes (or should I say keeps,ha!) my butt Kylie firm. I applied this after my shower and it absorbed into my skin pretty easily. The smell was nice and it spread well. I like my body moisturisers to be thick and rich but this one isnt. To be honest, I think you probably need to buy quite a few bottles of this to get a firming effect and should probably use it every night. I didnt really see a firming result, just softer skin. Maybe if I'd have carried on with the product something amazing would've happened. I used a whole bottle in a week because I love to coat myself in the stuff. I'd probably buy it again as a nice moisturiser and not for the fact that it firms the skin. For firming I'd go for Kiehl's Creme de' Corps which, has got to be the richest most luxurious cream on the planet. I'd just like to ask something while I'm on here. Why do they always get skinny models to promote these products? We already knew they were toned!
