Whilst strolling around Boots looking for sun lotion, I came across this product: Nivea Sun Invisible Protection Transparent Spray. I wanted a transparent one, as I was fed up of walking around with white creamy stuff all over me when the sun lotion had refused to absorb into my skin. After reading the description, which stated it was "non-greasy" and "instantly absorbed", I bought two (it was on buy one get one free) of the low SPF, factor 10. It is simple to use: you just spray it on your exposed skin, rub it in and make sure you don't miss any bits! However, don't spray it on your face as it will go in your eyes, which hurts! The thing with an English summer is that I always, always fall into the 'its not that sunny' trap, slap on only one application of a medium factor suncream and then lounge all day in a pub beer garden on the first day of my holiday....over the next few hours my arms turn a satisfactory brown colour, my nose erupts in 'cute' freckles but as the sun begins to set that satisfactory brown looks distinctly red and begins to hurt. The next day we hot footed it to the Morrisons which was next to our campsite, Nivea Invisible Protection factor 30 looked like the toughest thing there and it was on offer at £5.98 a bottle (half price, bargain!). I have extremely fair skin, and I don't ever get a tan - never. Instead I go an awful shade of red and then peel back disgustingly to my ever present white again. For years I have been looking for decent sun protection to help prevent this. I have tried various high factor creams and potions but have always hated (read as absolutely detested) the sticky and greasy feel of them. I have also found that many of them have clogged my skins pores and been the suspected cause of breakouts.
