Advantages: Moistures, Leaves skin smooth, really stops itching
Disadvantages: expensive
I came back from the doctors yesterday with a precription for oilatum plus for the bath, as I have very itchy flaky skin, which the doctor said is mild eczema. The bottle was a 500ml bottle and a prescription charge is about £6. A 300ml bottle would coust you about £8.50 so you are better off going to the doctors. This product is only for people with dry skin or ezczema and is used in the bath. Oilatum plus is a bath oil that you put into the bath water 1 capful for a 4inch bath and 2 capfuls for an 8 inch bath. It does turn the colour of the water to a murky grey but that does not bother me as long as I know the itching will stop. it is unfragranced so do not worry about it clashing with your perfumes This should never be put onto the skin neat, it ahould be put into bath water. As it is an oil it moistures the skin, and does not leave it so dry. Oilatum plus contains a cleanser so you should not really use soap with it, as it does clean your body. As it is an oil you should be very careful as the bath could be slippery, and also ensure that you wash the bath everytime you have used it, as it can cause a buildup that will be very difficult to get off, on the bottle it tells you that the best way to wash your bath after you have used it , is using washing up liquid. It does sooth and moisture you skin, leaving you less itchy, It is well worth the money. It also leaves my skin very smooth
