Advantages: Lovely, and economical as well

Disadvantages: Pleasant, not sensational

I recently received an Olay gift set consisting of a smart black and gold box which contained one 200ml plastic bottle of body was(recyclable) ,
and one 500ml container of bath foam. (also may be recycled)

I am never one to let my presents languish in drawers,so I was keen to try them out. Am not sure of the likely price, but a little bird told me they are not too expensive, and sold in Wilkinsons.

First to be tried was the bath foam, luckily I like baths and showers.A little luxury is always a pleasure.

--Olay moisturising bath foam, soothing, for sensitive skin, with ylang ylang and jasmine scent.
This comes in a rather boring white plastic container, with a flip top plastic lid. It has a pleasant sweet smell, rather reminiscent of one of the more attractively packaged washing powders currently on sale (maybe the fact that the product is made by Proctor and Gamble could be significant) Some washing powders smell gorgeous though, and so does this. I remember the scent of ylang ylang essential oil as being powerful ,dreamy and sensuous but although very nice this just doesn't have that kick.
Still it foams milkily under a running tap, it seemed to make my skin feel nice and soft, not irritating at all to my particular skin, and seems to help to cleanse the skin.According to the container it is ph balanced, and dermatologically approved.
Overall very nice, so on to the bodywash.

This comes in a slim , easy to grip semi transparent plastic container which. to me scores a bit more highly than the clumpy bath foam container. The gel is a pleasant fresh green colour, the smell is quite similar to but not identical to the bath foam, I think its a little fresher. In this case the bottle states its a fresh reviving bodywash (just the thing in the morning then) with ginseng extract.
I like to know whats in things, so I am quite interested in ingredients, though I am no scientist. therefore I decided to look up ginseng , according to the Wyklopaedia site ginseng is a slow growing plant found mainly in the Northern Hemisphere with fleshy roots, commonly grown in China. It promotes cool yin energy,so it is said, which cleans excess yang in the body, therfore it calms and soothes. Unfortunately subclinical doses are used in cosmetic preparations which are too small to be effective. Oh dear, but not to worry because its a nice shower gel anyway, especially when used as the bottle recommends, with a puff. I like puffs, one of the best inventions for the bathroom in ages. And it does contain some ginseng so who knows?

Therefore, this gift set is a really nice present to receive. Worth looking out for if you need to economise ,but have someone to spoil.

Summary: A nice product
