As a person with dry skin and someone who develops a reaction to almost every bath product on earth it's hard for me to find something that solves both problems. Enter Olay body wash plus cream ribbons with almond extract. My body wash was part of a gift set which came with a body puff. The packaging was a bit bulky to be honest with a lot of unnecessary cardboard. So not brilliant on the eco-front in terms of it's outward appearance. The bottle itself is well designed in colour and shape. You can handle it well because it's moulded cleverly to fit the shape of your hand - good when it's slippy too. Because it's an inverted bottle you get to use ... Read the complete review

Back to my usual reviews body washes!!! To be honest I have tried a few since my last review on this subject but I really haven't found one to write about. Most of them have just turned out to be bland and not really worth mentioning and I have tried so many over the years that I am running out of new ones! But then I found this one while wandering around Wilkinson's and decided it looked interesting and I love Olay products anyway. So did it purk up my interest? COMPANY HISTORY Olay was started in South Africa in 1949 by a man called Graham Wulff, he was an ex Unilever chemist. The product was originally called Oil of Olay (I remember my mum using ... I am not very old, but sometimes after a LONGGGGGGGG day I feel ancient. I think we all have had days, or even weeks like that :( Usually I try unwinding with a nice mug of hot choccie, some biccies with more choccie, and a nice soak in a tub full of bath smellies. Unfortunately, about ten minutes after leaving the bath, that refreshed feeling starts to slip away. Not so with this body wash. It has a deep moisturising formula, that like other Oil of Olay products, works to mimic the body's own natural moisturisers. What you are supposed to do is wet this net like sponge called a body puff, available with the bottle if you wish to buy as a set, and put about ... Read the complete review

I currently have eleven shower gels, which some may say is a little excessive. I have one by Lush, three by Original Source, two by Radox, three by Avon, one Get Fruity by Asda and this one – Oil of Olay’s moisturising body wash. Therefore, when I bought the Oil of Olay one, hubby wasn’t quite sure why I needed it. I tried to explain it was highly recommended by Ciao, but he just raised his eyes skywards and sighed deeply. So I thought I’d plead my case here and try to explain why I bought it, to those who will understand. I have only become a convert to showers in the last couple of months, having previously loved long hot ... Read the complete review

Until a couple of years ago, Oil of Ulay (or Olay as it seems to be called now) was not a brand name that I would have given a second thought to. As far as I was concerned the brand was associated with the rich, famous, old and sorry mum, my mother. Oil of Olay advertising claimed that their facial creams helped 'reduce the signs of ageing'. Being a fairly young looking 31 year old, this kind of slogan did not appeal to me. I have always wanted to look older than I am not younger (although not so much now that I am racing towards middle age). If the advertising had said "makes you more attractive to men" or "increases your job prospects" ... Read the complete review
