Olbas Bath Liquid is a version of the famous Swiss essential oils blend which allows one to lie back in a bath, relax and let those heady vapours clear your sinuses, nose and throat. The product is made with entirely "natural" ingredients although some of them, such as those made from coconut oil (see below), have been through some serious processing. Having been full of a cold this last week I spotted this in my local Waitrose and thought I would give it a go. I was in that much of a rush I didn't check the price - but believe it was about £3 for a 250ml bottle. You only need to add a little to the bath - which I found best to run under the hot water. I The ingrediants include various oils (peppermint & clover) and eucalyptus and it is not recommended for young children. It does create a lovely bubby bath. Olbas Bath is a very different kind of bubble bath. Just like Olbas Oil itself, it gives off natural vapours such as wintergreen, clove and eucalyptus, and aims to make breathing easier. Just half a cap full is enough to give off a very strong smell which you either love or hate but which we have found to be very useful for anyone suffering from a cold, hay fever etc. In addition it also helps to relax tired and aching muscles and is very useful after exercise.
