“ Brand: Oriflame / Texture: Cream / Type: Body Cream „
It may seem a bit odd but I am have a little quirky obsession with having the same scented shower gel and body butter/cream. As I have mention in my previous review, I am not a fan of grapefruit but since the shower gel turned out to be pretty good I just had to buy this Oriflame Body Cream with Toning Pink Grapefruit & Ginkgo.
It comes in a pink, round container. I really like Oriflame vessels as it is very easy to get every single ml of their cosmetics out. It has a transparent lid with a white big sticker (and some pictures of grapefruit and ginkgo) so you will not see much through that. Lid is easy to open - just turn it around and here you go.
The cream itself has a pale pink colour. Its texture is pretty much like... custard! Not too runny but not very thick, I simply find it perfect. It is very easy to spread on the body and skin absorbs it quite quickly - so you can put your clothes on straight after applying it.
It is a good moisturiser. After a couple of days of regular usage, my skin became softer and a bit baby-like. The skin on my elbows (it is normaly extremely dry and I am trying to find a remedy for that) was less dry however it didn't cure it completely. Therefore I guess this body cream is sufficient for a normal skin but a dry skin may need something more.
It smells of grapefruit - maybe slightly sweeter than the real scent but I think it ressembles grapefruit really well. It isn't overwhelming - you definitely won't feel dizzy or you won't get fed up with this scent too quickly). It may seem that the scent disappears from your skin quite quickly (so you can wear your favourite parfume or eau de toilette) but when you smell your skin, it is still there for quite a while. My bathroom also smelled for a bit but the scent disappear in few hours.
I managed to finish one 300ml container in slightly more than three weeks. Unfortunately, it is quite expensive - normally you will pay £4.95 per container.
