Freebie websites – aren’t they just great?! Well me being a student (and a cheap skate) I adore freebies. There’s nothing quite like getting a freebie through the post! On one website I noticed a free sample advertised from the Original Source website, www.orginalsource.com, I thought I’d register, they are a reputable company after all so they should send me a sample. Well weeks and weeks passed. I heard nothing, received nothing. I had in fact forgotten all about it. Eventually though the postman delivered my free sample. It was an “Orange and Grapefruit” shower gel. Up until that day I’d never tried any of the Original Source collection. I’d often eyed them up in Superdrug and the likes but never got around to trying them. I buy them now though! ~ ORIGINAL SOURCE ~ Background information: There is plenty to choose from in the Original Source products range. Their stock includes a range of shower gels, shampoos and conditioners, etc. One thing I particularly like about their range is that they all contain 100% natural essential oils and best of all none of their products are tested on animals. They are also a member of the vegan society according to their website too, why you’d want to eat their shower gel is beyond me! <joke!> ~ ORIGINAL SOURCE ORANGE AND GRAPEFRUIT SHOWER GEL ~ I may be a bit biased in saying that I adore the smell of this shower gel because I do tend to prefer the more unusual smells and fruity smells rather than traditional (boring!) soapy smells. Original Source claim their products to be ‘invigorating and refreshing’. I can certainly vouch for that! As soon as you squirt some of the orange gel into your hands the smell hits you. You are advised to test the product on a small area of skin before using the product for real because people with sensit
ive skin may be affected by the product (after all, they are using ‘real’ products, none of the synthetic stuff!) For those of you who do have sensitive skin, here’s the active ingredients: Citrus paradisi (grapefruit oil), citrus sinensis (sweet orange oil), sodium chloride (as per usual!), lactic acid, sodium styrene/acrylates/divinylbenzene copolymer and some colourings (I’d list them all but then that would send you all to sleep!) As well as being a great shower gel though you can also use this as a shampoo so it would be ideal to take on holiday – dual purpose! ~ WHERE CAN I BUY SOME? ~ You can get most of the Original Source in many larger stores, including Boots, Superdrug and all the supermarkets. You can buy 250ml bottles or purchase the 25ml sachets (which are the same as what you get if you order the samples) (Or of course you can register on the website for the free samples: www.originalsource.com). A couple of days after received the free sample they will email you and ask you to write a few sentences about what you thought about the product. They then thank you the day after by email and provide you with another link. All in all you get 4 different samples (you only receive the next one after filling in the very short questionnaire about the previous sample). ~ PRICE ~ You can get the 250ml bottles for around £2 and the 25ml sachets for around 25p from most stores. ~ CONCLUSION ~ Well on the back of the packet and bottle it clearly informs you of the exhilarating and refreshing sensation. I can’t argue with that. I absolutely loved the smell, I’d recommend using this in the mornings – it will certainly waken you up! ~ SARAH’S RATINGS ~ Latherability: 4/5 Refreshing feeling: 5/5 Smell: 5/5
