Advantages: Good product, Very refreshing
Disadvantages: A bit too cold
The problem with free samples normally is that they offer you just enough free product to give a very brief taste of the main product. good idea if you intend on getting people to use your product but what if one taste is not enough?
I have just had a sample of Tea Tree and Mint Source sent to me after registering on a freebies site last week.

I ordered it on Thursday and it arrived in a Jiffy bag this morning.
The packet is remenicent of a motorway service station ketchup sacket but on much larger scale.
I immediately rushed upstairs and jumped into the shower, (careful boys) with the shower Gel. I must admit, I was pretty impressed.
The gel is very thick. Much thicker consistency than shampoo and of clear appearance. The aroma was the first thing I noticed.
It is a very clean smelling, fresh fragrance. Very VERY minty though.
It cleansed my body beautifully and left my skin feeling invigorated.
There was no irritation which is good for me as I have sensitive skin. Instead I felt clean and soothed at the same time. A very relaxing product to use.
However, I must say that it does feel like it stings a little. It feels like someone has just poured a bucket of cold water over your body or someone has opened the front door and you are standing there with no clothes on! Very fresh to say the least.
It has convinced me to go out and probably purchase the actual product now. It makes a nice change to use a more natural product after a few years of imperial Leather Foam Burst that my husband likes.
However, I wont be rushing out yet. That is becasue the freebie is large enough for a couple of applications. They send out enough in a packet to cope with at least 2 uses if used sparingly.

- 08/05/02 I got this freebie as well and was really impressed. So impressed I immediately went out and bought the product. I actually like the tingly feeling afterwards. Maybe I'm weird.... Anyway I've since gotten a sample of the Tea Tree & Lemon shower gel. Very authentic smell - you can almost taste the bitterness of the lemon. Not my cup of tea but worth trying if you like citrus smelling shower gels/shampoos. I'm waiting on the Lime sample to arrive now, so fingers crossed! |
