As a fan of Original Source and all they stand for, I registered with the Original Source website after being told by a friend they were giving samples of new products out to try before they became available in the shops (www.originalsource.co.uk,) once registering with them, you receive eight samples, which are sent periodically. The first Original Source sample I received was an Orange and Lemon balancing shampoo and this was simply delicious, Oh the smell, my mouth was literally watering as I washed my hair. Great I thought, can't wait for the next seven........ Then it arrived The tube of tootpaste cleverly disguised as shower Gel. I started my usual shower routine, thought I'd be getting a little treat, that not many people had experienced yet and then nearly gagged. The mint smell was so over powering. The gel that I had just lathered all over my body was so strong, my eyes were watering and I could taste the mint in my mouth. It was so overpowering, like bathing in toothpaste. The smell may have been enhanced because I was in a small enclosed area with the heat and steam from the shower but it was simply too much for me. I have to admit, I did feel very cleansed, fresh and invigorated after the shower, just as the sample pack label stated, but the stench was awful and my shower was shortned very quickly. You may think I am exagerating, and it was my own fault for volunteering to be a guinea pig. But it served me right. I wont be doing it again. If I remeber rightly, the gel was supposed to have Tea tree somewhere in it, I must say I didnt notice, I truly believe it was probably 99% mint. I do appreciate that it was a sample, and I truly hope that Original Source haven't produced the gel, with the mint essence as strong as it was in the sample I tried. But sorry Original Source, I have been put off for life. I'm not sure how much the product retails for now, but I am
guessing around the £2 mark, but I certainly wont be parting with my money for this one. Just to make sure I wasn't mad, my boyfriend sampled the remaning gel in the pack and his thoughts were exactly the same with (quite)a few more swear words involved *$$^%*^£^*(%%^&?@ Needless to say the boyfriend trys any other samples that arrive now, to test them out for me. and on the plus side I dont get flash backs when I brush my teeth! lol
