Advantages: Smells nice......is cheap

Disadvantages: Annoying flippy floppy non standing, non dangling packaging

I am not a slave to any particular shower gel or product. Always up for a sniff along the toiletry isle is the Supermarket. Having said that, my hubby has alway liked Original Source gels, his particular fave being Original Lime.
I have to say, I am not adverse to Lime, but find it a little citrus-like for me, I am more a fruity fan, maybe a hint of coconut tropical? Just trying to give a bit of an insight of what I like so you can make an objective choice as to whether to try based on what I like, as smells are so subjective in my opinion.

The main reason I chose to review this product was the negative....the only reason it brought it to the forfront of my mind. I have to say, it has many plus points.

My choice began by seeing it on half price special....99p for a pouch of 250ml. The packaging, I would discribe as a pouch. It is a soft matt plastic pouch, with a corner cut off to make a spout that is made of hard platic that you pull out to open, and a circular spout occures, and pushes back in to close. Stays closed well, although I have never travelled with it so have no idea whether it will leak...or should I say is prone to leak, as you would like to think it is not going to leak!

Smell....can I ask you to discribe how a pomegranate or a fig smells??? Exactly.....not a distinctive fragrance! Neither have a strong smell, or a massive amount of product cult following!!! So as far as I am concerned, these smells are totally made up, and give a hint, based on what they taste like to the actual fruit. The shower gel smells very generically fruity, nothing terribly distinct, mearly a sweet yet clean fruit undertone. Not overly female, not terribly 'sporty'. My husband was happy to use the shower gel without feeling he was particularly using a girlie product. I would never suggest that it did or didn't smell of either fruit!

The shower gel doesnl't offer moisturising properties in any way. It calls itself 'shower nectar' States it is squished full of good stuff and will keep the balance...in my opinion, slightly non commital......

The main blurb on the front of the pouch heads for the 50% less plastic helped make this pouch....so is the target market eco types? Perhaps....

Now for the gripe....

I have a fairly large bathroom, I have a walk in shower jobby, and a free standing bath.....so I either tend to go for dingle dangle style shower gels, or bottles that can happily perch on the side of the bath.....this does neither. The moment you squelch out some of the gel....and it is a gel..not creamy....not thin...gel like.....it turns into an envelope type packaging. why would anyone want an envelope of anything in the bathroom. It was this annoying 'thing' that either knocked around the shower.,..or an annoying 'thing' that was flopping on the floor or in the actual bath (when my son wasn't trying to drink it!!!

So overall, a nice fruity of no real discription smell wise, not over drying, not very moisturising...very nice but not terribly exciting shower gel. I can't say I would favour it.....but for 99p you can't go wrong, providing you donlt mind being annoyed by the eco friendly packaging.

Summary: A 'nice' product.....nice being the last thing I would want to be called!!!
