Advantages: Smells nice, softens the skin
Disadvantages: Probably betond my limited budget!
Oh, I know, everyone and their dog (or cat!) has written about an Original Source toiletry product, haven't they?! This is obviously largely down to the fact that this company is very generous with sending out free sample sachets of its products. I have held off writing about any of them until now and I am only going to write about this one as it is my favourite of the five I have been sent and tried so far. The previous four samples I have received - all shower gels - were much of a muchness. All featured Tea Tree together with a citrus fruit or eucalyptus and weren't really right for my skin type despite smelling nice and working well, but this one was different! Original Source Tea Tree and Lavender Moisturising Body Wash is quite an exception in their range, I feel. I have always had very dry skin which can react badly to highly perfumed or astringent products so seeing this one was designed more with softening and moisturising the skin was a plus point. So I ripped open the pale lavender sachet (once I was in the shower!) to be met with a lovely fragrance - a gentle lavender smell (a bit like grannies!) tinged with that Tea Tree medicinal aroma. It was rich and creamy, lathering quickly and well and a little went a long way. Quite luxurious, in fact. Both during and after my shower my skin did not itch, tingle or feel tight like it often does after using similarproducts. I'm destined to have elephant skin! I have to confess I haven't seen or looked for the standard version of this product in the shops as yet as I tend to go for more budget buy supermarket own brands and only usually buy branded products when they are on an irresistible special offer! As far as I am aware, by what I have seen around in the past, this is available in a 200ml or 250ml bottle with lavender colouring on the label and the price averages out at about £2 - £2.50 depending on where you shop judging by the Original Source prod
ucts I HAVE seen. According to the product packaging "It's the essential oils that make the difference". Looking at the list of ingredients - about an arm's length of them! - all the usual - aqua (water!), glycerine and other unpronouncables but among them there was Tea Tree Oil and lavender listed so maybe they're right! Anyway, much as I was impressed with this, I'll probably look for a cheaper equivalent next time I need to buy some. If you want to try this and other Original Source products register for them at www.originalsource.co.uk and they will send you a series of eight sample sachets so you can judge for yourself!
