We get through a lot of shower gel in our house and I'm not particulary fussy about what we use, Its usually a case of picking up whatever is on offer in which ever supermarket I might be shopping in at the time. ....... which is why the last time I went shopping I ended up with this Original Source Tea Tree and Lemon Shower Gel ( as well as five others but they are separate reviews!).

This was a fantastic buy - 2 for £1.75 I do believe.

The shower gel is quite a bright colour - very neon and as my daughter commented we hoped it wasn;t radioactive!. Rest assured it isn't. But if you are not used to Tea Tree then it is quite strong smelling.

The bottle itself is wider at the bottom than the top and it doesn;t have a hook like some makes do, to hang it up by in the shower. This is a slight disadvantage as you have to bend down to get it as it resides in our shower on the rim of the tray!

However the flip top makes it easy to get the shower gel out as long as you don;t drop the bottle in which case the lid tends to come off and you've lost half the contents. (not a good thing to happen particulary in the showers at the local leisure centre!)

Now to the shower gel itself - it is lovely - fresh and tingly - smells lovely - as I said the tea tree is maybe an aquired smell but it mingles well with the lemon. It bubbles up really well which is always hard where I live as the water is quite hard - but this didn;t disappoint on the lather test!

Its a real wake up shower gel and I certainly feel awake and raring to go once I've had my shower using this gel. So far I would say that this is my all time favourite shower gel although there are several that come a close second.

Can it be improved - well the shower gel itself has not got room for improvement - its great as it is. The packaging could be improved with some sort of hook to hang it in the shower but that is only my opinion !!

Should you buy it - well you can but try it - if you like the smell of lemon and tea tree then you probably will love this gel. If you like a more subtle fragrance then try something else. This is not fo the fainthearted at 6am !!!

Summary: a great smelling, lathering up shower gel at a reasonable price
