Advantages: fresh, lovely fragrance

Disadvantages: fragrance is too weak

~ Introduction ~

This is the second FREE sample that I have tried from the original source web site (www.originalsource.co.uk) and after the liking of their first sample as one of my previous opinions details, I did not hesitate to leave the required feedback so that I could give this one a try.

I followed the link on the e-mail sent to me to leave some feedback which was quick and easy and wrote a little description of my findings – I hit the submit button and was told that the next FREE sample in the range has automatically been ordered for me. 4 days later I received it.

For those who want to try the range consisting of 8 FREE samples, visit their web site at www.originalsource.co.uk to get signed up and receive your first FREE sample, Once at the website, you can register yourself by providing your e-mail address and delivery address. My first sample took just 2 days after my request and the shower gel also arrived nicely packed in a jiffy bag.

~ Product Description ~

This is a 25ml sachet measuring approximately 4 x 1½ inches. The sachet is also bright yellow in colour symbolizing the lemon contents.

The front of the packet has bold lettering stating what the product is and states that you will have the most refreshing and reviving shower experience ever.

Again like the previous sample that I tried, the back of the packet shows the ingredients and the directions but too the ingredients are there in tiny print. Also on the back is a statement saying that the product has not been tested on animals, which is an important principle that many of us stick to.

The full product is available from all major stockists at the price of £2.49 for a 250ml bottle and £3.99 for a 500ml bottle and indeed from the Original Source website at the same price.

~ Ingredients ~

Original Source state that all of their products are packed with 100% natural essential oils. I will n
ot list the full set of ingredients, however if you are curious you should visit their web site. The main ingredients consist of water, tea-tree oil and lemon oil.

~ The Shower ~

So here goes, Wolfie opens the second sachet in the series, this time remembering to open the sachet before I get into the shower so that I have dry hands (otherwise it is near impossible to open). The first thing to hit me was the lovely aroma which I would compare to a freshly squeezed lemon and I could even smell the pip after what was probably the third or fourth sniff. This smell was rather weak though, I personally would have liked this one to be a little stronger.

Also when opening the packet, I squeezed a little to the opening of the sachet for a closer examination of the gel itself. This one as so many others have also commented in their opinions of this product, does appear to look like lemon curd, in-fact isn’t it strange how the look and smell of a product can sometimes bring on huger, ummmm! Anyway this sample appears to be thicker in consistency than the previous sample (tea-tree & mint).

The shower gel is recommended for both use on your hair and body. Many people are skeptical about using such products on their hair as they are not specifically designed as shampoo, however, in my opinion, I have found these products to be good for my type of hair.

I washed my hair first, then I applied the gel to a sponge and the gel lathered up very nicely and I washed my body. The end result was a refreshing shower, which left me feeling nice and clean, however, I was expecting a little more after my experiences with the first product – if you have read my previous opinion, you will know that the first sample gave me a nice tingling sensation. The fragrance has not seemed to last that long after use, I would say the smell probably lasted for about 15 minutes.

~ Summary ~

A good FREE sample that I m
ay use again which did leave me feeling refreshed, however, I did prefer the first free sample (tea-tree & mint). I will give this product a rating of 4/5 because it was nice, however, it did not meet my expectations. I would highly recommend that you try their FREE samples and see for yourself.
