Advantages: fresh lemony smell, not overpowering, makes the room smell nice!
Disadvantages: depends whether you like lemon
Given the choice I wouldn?t choose to buy a lemon shower gel simply because I tend to go for fruity fragrances. Yes, I know, a lemon is indeed a fruit but I mean the sort of sweet fruity smell of something like radox (the orange bottle) rather than citrusy smells. A while ago I came across the original source website where they are giving away 3 free samples to anyone who orders them from a choice of 8. I firstly ordered the Tea Tree & Mint sample which I found quite invigorating if a little too overpowering in its mintyness. The next sample I decided to order was the Tea Tree & Lemon Shower Gel. This comes in a mini-bottle, identical to the big version except it does not have the squeezy valve on the end so you simply pour the shower gel out from the bottle. I opened the bottle and took a sniff and immediately was reminded of lemon curd! Other reviewers seem to have commented on this too so I?m not the only one. The smell is quite refreshing but not as overpowering as the mint one. The smell is from the essential oils that Original Source use in their products, which is nice to know as they don?t use any synthetic fragrances. In the shower I found this produced a good lather and I didn?t need very much to cover my body. In the heat of the shower the smell seems to diffuse through the whole room leaving a lovely lemony smell lingering. I much preferred this sample to my previous one as I found the smell more pleasant and appealing to me. I found it left my skin feeling squeaky clean but I had to use moisturiser afterwards. The lemon smell can be smelt on the skin for a while afterwards but only lightly (it won?t clash with your fragrance) I?d say this is a pretty unisex shower gel as the bright bold packaging isn?t at all girly and would appeal to men as well as women.
r>I?m not sure if I?d buy this again, it was great for waking me up in the morning and they don?t test their products on animals which is always a bonus. I think I?ll normally stick to my usual shower gels but if I see this on offer then I?d probably buy a couple of bottles and keep them to use occasionally. I?d definitely recommend you pop over to the website to try out a few of their samples. You simply click on the link from an email to give feedback on the previous sample and then they send you the next one. It?s nice to be able to try out mini versions of products and the little bottles are also great for holidays :) The full size bottle costs around £2.99 for 250 ml. www.originalsource.co.uk Thanks for reading!
