Advantages: Makes you feel fresh and tingly, wakes you up

Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

I really like the Original Source range, and my favourite product from their range is the Mint and Tea Tree Shower Gel.

The normal sized bottle is a 250ml size, but it is also possible to buy a travel-sized version, which comes in a 50ml bottle. The travel sized version is great to take on holiday or a weekend away.

The bottle is made from fairly soft see-through plastic with a black plastic click off top. This makes it easy to squeeze so you can get the gel out! The cap to open the bottle is at the bottom of the bottle which the bottle sits on, so you always have the gel ready to squeeze out, you don't have to turn it upside down and wait for the gel to make its way to the top to squeeze out (very handy!)

The gel is bright green in colour and is of quite thick consistency. As soon as you open the bottle you can smell the minty fresh smell and I really like it. When you apply it to your skin and start to rub it in, your skin starts to tingle and feel really cool and fresh. It is a really great shower gel to use in the morning to help wake you up.

I don't find that the shower gel creates that many bubbles, but it does create a small lather. The shower gel nicely moisturises my skin, and after my shower and after I have dried off, I still feel that my skin feels nice and cool. The minty smell of the shower gel still lingers on my smell, it is a nice subtle smell and not too strong.

It says on the back of the bottle that the product uses essential oils and not synthetic fragrances. It is also not tested on animals, which makes me like it even more! I have both the normal sized bottle and also a travel sized bottle, and on the travel sized bottle it says that 1,585 real mint leaves were using in making the bottle of shower gel. I like the fact that they use real mint leaves in making the product and not an artificial fragrance, no wonder it smells so minty and fresh with all those mint leaves!

The shower gel is to be used within 12 month of being opened, which isn't that hard to do!

The shower gel is available at most supermarkets and also shops such as Boots and Superdrug. The 250ml sized shower gel costs around £2, though it is frequently on offer, and the travel sized bottle costs around £1.

This is one of my favourite shower gels, I love how refreshing and tingly it makes my skin feel. It really is a great wake me up shower gel!

Summary: My favourite shower gel!

I have to admit I find the smell overpowering...or that might be a different gel...as I tend to use what's in the house I lose track!
